Fortnite OG v27.11 (4.07) Update – Server Downtime, Patch Notes, Loot Pool, Map Changes – 21 November 2023

Epic Games has announced the next new Fortnite update for the OG season, v27.11 (4.07).  Here’s everything you need to know including scheduled server downtime, early patch notes, and more.

Last week, Epic Games released the first major Fortnite update for the Chapter 4 OG season, v27.10.

The update included some new cosmetics being added to the files along with map changes to the Chapter 1 Season 7 & 8 map as well as loot pool changes.

We knew before the season started that we would only be getting two new Fortnite updates in the OG season and with one update already released, there’s only one remaining.

The Fortnite OG season is expected to end in just under two weeks, and it looks like the next and final Fortnite OG update is coming sooner than many expected.

Epic Games announced on Twitter through the Fortnite Status account that the v27.11 (4.07) update will be released today, 21 November 2023, just a few days after the last release.

As expected, Epic has provided information regarding the scheduled downtime for the latest release, and we already have the early patch notes from the patch notes when the season launched.

Here’s everything you need to know about the v27.11 (4.07) Fortnite update.

Update File Download Size

Today’s v27.11 release isn’t a hotfix update. That means players will need to download the release in order to play the game.

Once the update is pushed live across all platforms, we’ll update the section below with the downloadable file size for the 4.07 update.

Fortnite 27.11 (4.07) OG Update Season 9 & X Patch Notes – November 21 2023 (11/21/23)

When Fortnite OG was released a few weeks ago, Epic Games provided players with an insight into what they could expect to see throughout the month-long season.

The patch notes that were released provided information in regards to the loot pool and map changes Epic will release as well as the dates these updates would be available.

Thanks to that post, we know what we can expect to see with the release of the v27.11 (4.07) patch update today.

Map Changes

It’s important to note that the below changes will not go live in-game until November 23rd.

Today’s release will see the return of the Season 9 and Season X map. However, Epic didn’t confirm or outline any of the changes coming with the return to the season 9 map in the patch notes.

We do know the comment will reappear on the map but apart from that, we’re not sure what other map changes the v27.11 update will bring.

Fortnite Map Changes v27.11 4.07 Season 9 X

Loot Pool Changes

Similar to the map changes, the loot pool changes for Season 9 & Season X will not go live until Thursday, 23rd November.

One of the best parts of the current season is the weekly changes to the loot pool, keeping things fresh and interesting with the constant cycle of item changes.

Thanks to the patch notes released at the start of the season, we know that the Heavy Sniper Rifle, Proximity Grenade Launcher, Air Strike, and Junk Rift will all be making a return.

4.07 Fortnite Loot Pool Changes Season 9 & X

The Storm Flip and Jetpack will also be returning.

Although originally introduced in season 8, Epic Games will be adding The Baller to the map on Thursday.

Players have been waiting for the return of The Baller since the new season was released, and they’ll have just over a week to use the popular vehicle.

The Baller Return to Fortnite

With this being the final update of the season, we should see the remaining end-of-season event files being added to the game.

It’s likely data miners will leak parts of the event including what’s likely going to happen during the event.

How to Get the Free Fortnite Runway Racer Skin

Epic Games is providing players with the chance to get their hands on the Runway Racer Fortnite skin, and here’s how.

Over the years, Epic Games has provided the Fortnite player base with plenty of free in-game cosmetics including skins, wraps, pickaxes, gliders, emotes, and more.

Every year, the Fortnite Winterfest Christmas event provides players with the chance to earn two free skins along with a whole host of other cosmetics.

Last year, Epic provided players with two free skins, two gliders, two wraps, three lobby tracks, three sprays, a back bling, pickaxe, contrail, emote, and emoticon for Winterfest 2022.

Throughout the year, different events and schemes including Reboot Rally allow players to earn less sought-after rewards but are free nonetheless.

With today’s new Fortnite patch release, Epic Games is once again providing players with the chance to get their hands on free cosmetics.

The Runaway Racer skin is available for free along with a pickaxe, wrap, and back bling. Here’s how to get the free Fortnite cosmetics.

How to get Runway Racer Fortnite Skin For Free

There are a total of four different cosmetics in the Runway Racer Fortnite set.

The pickaxe, Premiere Poms, can be obtained by earning 5 account levels.

Epic Games will release the first major update for Fortnite OG, 27.10 (4.06). Here’s all the information you need for the latest release including scheduled downtime, early patch notes, and more.

It’s almost been two weeks since Epic Games released Fortnite Chapter 4: OG. The new season has been a huge success with Epic recording their best-ever day in Fortnite history.

More than 44 million players jumped in on November 4th, 2023 to increase everything the Fortnite OG update had to offer with over 102 million hours of play.

It was obvious the new Fortnite OG season would bring back a large number of old player base but nobody would have expected the game to hit the numbers it did.

With the season ending on December 2nd to make way for Chapter 5, Epic still has two major updates they’ll be releasing, one of which, 27.10 (4.06) will go live today.

The OG Fortnite 27.10 (4.06) update today will introduce Fortnite Chapter 1 Seasons 7 & 8 which will include new items, map changes, and loot pool changes.

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s new Fortnite update on 16th November 2023.

Map Changes

A snow biome will be making a return to the OG Fortnite map including the return of Frosty Flights. Pirate Camps will also be making an appearance.

Unfortunately, both Frozen Greasy Grove and Happy Hamlet will not be making a return in today’s 4.06 update.

Epic Games has shared what the Fortnite season 7 and 8 map will look like which can be seen below:

Finally, the X-4 Stormwing Planes will be making a return to Fortnite alongside the Pirate Cannons which will allow players to launch their teammates.

The X-4 Stormwing Plane was introduced in season 7. It takes a few seconds to start up and has a mounted damaged item at the front of the plane.

The damage dealt is 50 and if you ram into builds, the damage dealt is 25 hitpoints. The plane itself has a total of 2,000 HP, but that might be adjusted when it comes back.

All Fortnite OG Hidden Gnome Map Locations – Secret Quest

Here are the locations of all the hidden Gnomes on the Fortnite Chapter 4: OG map which are required to locate and collect as part of a secret quest.

The release of Fortnite OG has been a huge success for Epic Games with the concurrent player count record hitting new heights.

The peak hit 6,172,463 please on Saturday whereas previously, the record was around 2.8 million. It is important to note that Epic didn’t provide access to the player count prior to May of this year.

It’s unlikely we’re anywhere close to the numbers when Fortnite was at its peak in 2018. However, with Epic seeing more than double the usual players since OG Fortnite, it’s safe to assume they’re happy with how they planned out this short chapter.

Although there were leaks of Secret Battle Pass coming back with the new season, that hasn’t happened unless Epic intends to add this in one of the two updates planned for this season.

In any case, we do know we have a secret quest in the form of finding the garden gnomes that you might have come across while doing your thing on the OG map.

For anyone who played chapter one, you’ll know Epic used to have secret quest lines, most of which revolved around gnomes, and thought it would be fitting to add them back into the game.

There are 10 garden gnomes hidden around the Fortnite map that players need to find, and we have the location of each of them, which we’ve included below.

Fortnite Gnome All Map Locations – Hidden Quest

We have the locations below thanks to HarryNinetyFour, and we have a map with all the Fortnite garden gnomes marked thanks to FN_Assist.

Remember, each collected hidden Fortnite OG garden gnome will provide players with 20,000 XP. With a total of ten available, players can get 200,000 XP.

You can find the first hidden Fortnite garden gnome on the northwest side of the back on the hill by Junk Junction.

It’ll be in front of the metal llama statue as seen below.

Secret Gnome Locations in Fortnite

The closest secret Fortnite OG gnome to the one above can be found south of Pleasant Park.

You can find the hidden secret Fortnite OG gnome at the small campsite in front of the teddy that’s on the log.

Risky Reels is also home to a secret Fortnite OG gnome on the north side of the named location.

It’ll be behind the green RV next to the fence sitting at a table as shown below.

For the other hidden gnomes in Fortnite OG, we’ve listed the locations below along with a map that provides the location of each marked on the map.

  • Weeping Woods – In the middle of the location in the maze on the west side.  You’ll find the gnome next to the teddy.
  • Lonely Lodge – North side of the location near the water next to the no fishing sign.
  • Paradise Palms – Near the east side of the location closer to the edge of the map. You’ll find the gnome looking at the right gravestone.
  • Dusty Divot – north side of the location in the small pool of water on a water float next to the teddy bear.

  • Shifty Shafts – on the northeast side of the location on the hill that is home to the broken-down battle bus. The gnome will,l be on the south side in the mud.
  • Shifty Shafts Main Location – go into the location and break the fence and you’ll see a gnome sitting at a table.
  • Greasy Grove – Northeast ide on the hill right next to the stone head. The Gnome will be sitting on the chair.

Fortnite Waiting in Queue Today – 3 November 2023

Epic Games released Fortnite Chapter 4: OG today. The servers are finally back up but players are waiting in a queue.

Players have been waiting a week for the release of Fortnite OG since Epic Games announced they’ll be returning to the Chapter 1 map on October 27th.

We already knew what to expect from the season due to Epic accidentally releasing the update early on some Android devices.

Data miners were then able to leak most of the content from the files Android players downloaded. We knew we would be starting on the Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 5 map with each week seeing other POIs return from the other seasons in Chapter One.

The Fortnite servers went down for scheduled maintenance at 3 AM EST earlier today. They were down for a total of five and a half hours.

However, they’re now back online but as expected, there’s a high volume of players trying to log in at the same time to experience everything Fortnite Chapter 4: OG has to offer.

Players are reporting having to wait in a queue today, and even when the countdown ends, it appears as though they still aren’t able to get into the Fortnite lobby.

Here’s everything you need to know about the waiting in queue issue players are experiencing when trying to login to Fortnite today, 3rd November 2023.

Waiting in Queue Today Fortnite November 3rd, 2023

Why does Fortnite say waiting in queue?

When Epic is experiencing a high volume of players trying to log in to Fortnite at the same time, they usually deploy a queue that players will need to wait in.

Fortnite Waiting in Queue 2023 November 3

We’ve seen Epic Games deploy a queue in order to fix any server stability issue for players who are lucky enough to log in and play the game.

Typically, we’ve seen queues deployed during an event when there are a mass amount of players trying to log in at the same time. However, we haven’t seen it for some time.

However, with so many new players looking to experience the Chapter One map along with the sheer amount of returning players looking to get their nostalgia fix, the Fortnite servers likely can’t cope.

There’s usually a “waiting in queue” timer that is displayed on the screen, and you’re usually able to successfully log in to Fortnite once the countdown ends.

However, I was waiting in the queue with a 24-minute wait. However, once the countdown ended, it said “Successfully logged out”.

After retrying to log in, I was unsuccessfully and am now waiting in queue for another 18 minutes.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to avoid the Fortnite waiting in queue message.

We’ll update this article once there’s no longer a queue or the log-in issues in general have been resolved.

Waiting in Queue in Fortnite Today Status – Has it Been Fixed?

We’ll update this section every few minutes to see whether Epic Games has fixed the issue.

As of November 3rd, 2023 at 10:40 AM EST / 2:40 PM GMT, there issue still persists.

Successfully Logged Out In Fortnite

As mentioned above, once the countdown time for the queue ends, many players including myself received the “successfully logged out” message.

Successfully Logged Out Fortnite 2023 November

Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to resolve this issue and it’s likely due to the servers at maximum capacity.

You’ll likely have to re queue if you experience the successfully logged out message.

Fortnite OG Reboot Rally November 2023 – Free Rewards, Quests, How to Sign Up

Epic Games has announced the return of Fortnite Reboot Valley for November 2023 for the OG season. Here’s everything you need to know including a look at the free cosmetic rewards.

Epic Games first introduced Reboot Rally back in Chapter 3: Season 4. Since then, we’ve seen the event return several times.

Reboot Rally rewards players for bringing back friends who haven’t played Fortnite Battle Royale for a certain duration of time.

The rewards include cosmetics, typically pickaxes, wraps, and gliders. However, in order to get the rewards, there are certain requirements that must be met.

With Fortnite Chapter 4: OG launching today, it was the perfect opportunity for Epic Games to bring Reboot Rally back, and they’ve released information of the November 2023 Reboot Rally.

Here’s everything you need to know including a look at the free cosmetics rewards and how you can participate.

November 2023 Fortnite Reboot Rally

Fortnite’s Reboot Rally is back and will start today, 3rd November 2023, and run until December 2, 2023.

During the event, players can assemble their friends who haven’t played Fortnite in a while and show them what’s new.

You’ll need to complete the Reboot Rally Quest and Bonus Goals in order to earn points to unlock the free in-game cosmetic rewards.

To be eligible, the returning/new player is anyone who has played less than two hours of Fortnite in the thirty days leading up to November 2nd, 2023.

An active player is another who has played more than two hours of Fortnite in the thirty days leading up to November 2nd, 2023.

How to Sign up to Fortnite Reboot Rally

Whether you’re an active player or a returning/new player, open the Friends tab in the Lobby Sidebar to see the Reboot Rally panel.

If you’re an active player, you’ll see returning/new friends you can party up with to complete Reboot Rally Quests and Bonus Goals. If you’re a returning/new player, you’ll see active friends and fellow returning/new friends you can party up with to complete the Quests and Bonus Goals.

Instead of partying up right away, you can also “rally” your friends, meaning you’ll be presented a QR code for fn.gg/rebootrally. Share fn.gg/rebootrally with your friends so they can learn more about Reboot Rally!

Party up with one, two, or three friends (or more friends if the selected Fortnite experience supports it) so you can complete Reboot Rally Quests and Bonus Goals together. These Quests and Bonus Goals are findable in Fortnite’s “Quests” tab. Quests and Bonus Goals don’t need to be completed with the same friend(s), so feel free to mix and match which eligible friend(s) you party up with.

As you complete the Reboot Rally Quests and Bonus Goals together, you and your participating friend(s) will earn points. Collect points to earn in-game rewards! You can keep track of your points and the rewards you can earn in the Quests tab.

Reboot Rally Quests involve:

Rallying friends.

Completing a Battle Royale match (Unranked or Ranked) with a friend.

Is Fortnite Down Right Now? Server Downtime & When Will They Be Back Up Online – 3 November 2023

Epic Games announced that the Fortnite servers will go down for scheduled downtime for maintenance today, 3 November 2023. However, that hasn’t prevented people from wondering if Fortnite is down right now and when the servers will be back online.

Epic Games announced on October 27th, 2023 that we’ll be returning to the Fortnite Chapter 1 map when the new season of the popular Battle Royale game mode launches.

Since then, players have been counting down the days. We’ve seen some of the largest streamers and content creators including the likes of Nickmercs announce that they’ll be playing the new season when it drops.

We’ve had multiple teasers over the past two days which formed to create the keyart for Fortnite Chapter 4: OG. The name of the season means this isn’t classed as season 5 of Chapter 4.

It also means the Chapter 4 map is gone as Chapter 5 will launch when Fortnite: OG ends on December 3rd, 2023.

Although the teasers have provided plenty of information regarding what we can expect in the new season of Fortnite, we have a lot more information thanks to a mistake by Epic Games.

Earlier on, Epic Games accidentally pushed the Fortnite: OG update live on Android. Android players were able to download the 7 GB update and get into the lobby.

Although they weren’t able to play any games, they were able to take screen grabs of the map from the lobby along with providing images of the Battle Pass for the new season.

Data miners managed to get into the new files and have provided everything we can expect in the new season. Whilst the Fortnite servers are down for scheduled maintenance on November 3rd, 2023, we thought we’d provide you with all the information we have on the new season.

Directly below, however, you can find all the information you need on the Fortnite servers being down on 3 November 2023 (11/3/23). Below that, you’ll find everything you need to know about the new season of Fortnite; Chapter 4: OG.

Fortnite Schedule Server Downtime Announced For 3 November 2023

Before any major patch is released by Epic Games, they need to take the Fortnite servers down for scheduled maintenance. There’s server downtime for Fortnite for the x.xx updates, and it’s the same for new season releases.

However, the Fortnite server downtime duration is a lot longer when it’s the release of a new season of Fortnite.

With Epic removing the Chapter 4 map and returning us to the Chapter 1 map, the Fortnite server downtime will likely be longer than what we’ve come to expect from new season releases.

Epic Games announced that the Fortnite servers will go down for scheduled maintenance on November 3rd, 2023, at 3 AM EST / 7 AM GMT / 8 AM CET.

Matchmaking will be disabled shortly beforehand which usually means it’ll be disabled roughly thirty minutes before the Fortnite servers go down for scheduled maintenance.

Here’s the official tweet from the Fortnite Status Twitter account:

Fortnite Server Downtime 3 November 2023 Status

As with all new seasons, Epic also stated that the new update file size will be larger than usual on some platforms.

We already know the Android update was 7 GB, and we’ll update the article below with the file size of the download for each platform.

Fortnite Not Working 3 November 2023

Fortnite is not working as the servers are down for scheduled maintenance. It’s likely when they are back online, there will be queue issues and possible server instability due to the number of players that will be trying to log in at the same time in order to play the OG map.

When Will The Fortnite Servers Be Back Up?

When Fortnite server downtime is announced, Epic Games will never state how long they will be down for, and that’s the case for the release of Chapter 4: OG.

However, we can take a look at how long the servers have been down with the launch of previous updates and seasons.

Based on the past few releases of new seasons, we’d expect the Fortnite servers to be down for more than a few seasons.

If we had to guess, we’d assume that the Fortnite servers will be back up online from downtime on November 3rd, 2023 at roughly 8 AM EST / 12 PM GMT / 1 PM CET.

Again, this is just going off how long they’ve been down for the release of previous seasons. We will, however, update the below section as soon as they are back online.

Fortnite Status

We’ll keep an eye on the server status and update this as often as we can.

Now that we’ve got the above out of the way and whilst you’re waiting for the game to be playable, why not take a look at all the information we have on the season so far?

For those of you who didn’t get to experience the Chapter 1 map, you’re in for a treat. The season will launch with the Chapter 1 Season 5 map and will change each week.

Here’s a look at the week 1 map along with the list of POIs that’ll be available:

  • Junk Junction
  • Haunted Hills
  • Pleasant Park
  • Loot Lake
  • Lazy Links
  • Risky Reels
  • Wailing Woods

Fortnite OG Map Week 1

We should be rotating the map each week until we get to the Chapter 1 Season X map. Players can expect to see locations such as Happy Hamlet, Polar Peak, and other popular locations being added to the map as we progress through the season.

Along with the return of the map, we also know the loot pool for Chapter One will be returning. That means all of the current chapter and season loot pool will be removed, and we’ll be going back to the OG loot pool.

Here are the items we know will be making a return:

  • Bolt Action Sniper
  • Heavy Sniper
  • Suppressed Sniper
  • Standard Sniper
  • Drum Shotgun
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Pump Shotgun (the Mark 2 Variant also exists)
  • Double-Barreled Shotgun
  • Burst Assault Rifle
  • Assault Rifle
  • Hunting Rifle
  • SCAR
  • LMG
  • Baller
  • Hoverboard
  • Planes
  • Karts
  • Shopping Carts
  • Supply Drops
  • All Traps

Thanks to data miner iFireMonkey, we know which items will be returning from week 1 to week 4:

Week 1:
– Stink Bombs
– Boogie Bombs
– Bush
– Chug Jug
– Port-A-Fort
– Grappler

Week 2:
– Tactical Shotgun
– Port-A-Fortress
– Dynamite
– Driftboards
– Quadcrashers
– Double-Barrel Shotgun
– Heavy Assault Rifle
– Shockwave Grenades
– Clinger
– Grapple Glove

Week 3:
– Boom Bow
– Pirate Cannon
– Minigun
– Buried Treasure
– Balloons
– X-4 Stormwing
– Kinetic Blade

Week 4:
– Hot Spot Supply Drone
– Baller
– Air Strike
– Jetpack
– Infantry Rifle

We also have some stats for the Pump and Hunting Rifle below.

According to iFireMoney, the B.R.U.T.E will also be making a return as there are files that have been added that mention it.

It was commonly referred to as “the mech” and was a ground vehicle that was added in Season 10 (X).

It’s a giant mech suit that can be mounted by two players at once. It had features including a dash, stomp, and super jump attack.

It also had the ability to fire a shotgun that fires 5 pellets and a missile attack all whilst also having a forefield to shield players. It was probably one of the most talked about additions in Fortnite history.

Many complained they were too overpowered and ruined the entire experience of Fortnite. More novice players loved the mech due to the fact that it made it easier for them to win games.

It was vaulted with the release of Chapter 2 and has never made its way back into the game for obvious reasons.

If it does indeed return, let’s hope Epic has nerfed it enough so it doesn’t ruin the OG experience for players, and it’s likely that will be the case. It seems unlikely it will be available from the first week, so expect it to come in the final week of the season if it is added back.

Epic has confirmed with the gameplay trailer that a few fan-favorite movement mechanics will remain in the game. Sliding, Spriting, and Mantling will remain in the game.

However, there’s no news in regards to whether Augments will remain. Three augments will receive an update, but none of the other augments.

There’s also nothing showcasing augments in the gameplay trailer, so we’ll have to wait until the Fortnite servers are back online from maintenance downtime on 3 November 2023 to know for certain.

Secret Battle Stars will be coming back to the game, much to the delight of many of the OG players. Secret Battle Stars are Floating Battle Star Icons that were added to the map each week.

Secret Hidden Battle Stars Returning Fortnite

They could be found from hints that were in the weekly loading screens. For example, a loading screen might have coordinates of the Battle Star somewhere on the loading screen, and players would have to find it to find the Secret Battle Stars.

Once you find the hint, you can find it on the map and collect it in order to get ten Battle Stars.

A new season always means a new Battle Pass, and Fortnite Chapter 4: OG is no different. We’ve seen some of the skins in the gameplay trailer that Epic released.

It looks like there will only be four or five skins in this season’s Battle Pass due to the fact that the season is only a month long. However, it appears as though there will be plenty of edit styles for the skins.

Here are the skins that’ll be available:

  • Renegade Lynx
  • Omegarok
  • Lil Split
  • Spectra Knight
  • Raven Team Leader (?)

And here’s what they look like:

Is Fortnite Servers Down Now November 2023

There’s no confirmation on the price, but leaks suggest that it’s still going to cost players 950 V-Bucks to get the new Battle Pass.

With that said, there’s also information that points towards the Battle Pass being free for those that get Fortnite Crew but this has not been confirmed nor is it official information.

Reboot Vans will still be in the game but they will likely function as they did when they were first added into the game.

That means instead of rifting back in once a teammate has got you back into the game from a Reboot Van, you’ll likely just spawn on top of the Van.

We don’t have much else to cover apart from the fact that there will be a Stranger Things collaboration in the new season with Eleven being added as a skin.

Here’s the leaked skin and edit style thanks to Hypex:

That’s all we have to cover in this article. Be sure to check back when the Fortnite servers are finally back online to check out all the coverage we have on the season including the confirmed loot pool, challenge guides, and anything else we think will need to be covered.
