Fortnite Air Strike, Hunting Rifle, Flint-Knock Pistol Unvaulted – Where to Find Them

The Air Strike, Hunting Rifle, and Flint-Knock Pistol have been unvaulted in Fortnite. Here are the stats and where to find them in chapter 3 season 2.

Epic Games released the 20.30 content update today. There weren’t any new items added to the game, but there are a few items and weapons that have been unvaulted.

Although the patch notes haven’t been released, and there might be other changes that have been missed, three items and weapons were unvaulted.

The Air Strike, Hunting Rifle, and Flint-Knock Pistol have been unvaulted, and here’s everything you need to know about each item.

Where to Find Air Strike in Fortnite

The Air Strike was added to Fortnite back in chapter 1 season 9 in a content update. However, it was vaulted back at the end of chapter 1, which means most players haven’t had a chance to use the item.

They can be found in chests, supply drops, and as floor loot. Throw the canister to send missiles raining to its landing area.

Airstrike Fortnite

Te Flint-Knock Pistol and Hunting Rifles are available from now until May 7th, 2022. They can be found in chests, supply drops, and floor loot. The drop rates for utility items like the Shockwave Grenade have increased with the re-introduction of these weapons.

Inflate for safety. Funding Stations are gearing up to accept donations to produce either Shield Bubbles or Balloons!

Bars Bubbles Balloons

Both options provide protection in some way. Throw down a Shield Bubble to create a temporary dome invulnerable to explosives and projectiles (including Air Strike missiles). On the other hand, attach Balloons to yourself to become more airborne and agile.

Before one of these protective items is unvaulted, you’ll have the opportunity to try out both in the wild. Find Shield Bubbles and Balloons scattered throughout the Island from Friday, May 13, at 9 AM ET to Monday, May 16, at 11:59 PM. Not too long after this trial period ends, you can vote for your favorite choice by contributing Bars at Funding Stations. The first item that reaches 100% Funded will swiftly enter the loot pool!

Here is what’s new or what has been changed in today’s May 10, 2022, Fortnite update.

Last week, we had the penultimate Fortnite update of the season, v20.30. The patch destroyed large parts of Tilted Towers, although, with the history of the popular landing location, it was only a matter of time before disaster struck.

20.30 also saw the return of the Choppa helicopter along with the Star Wars lightsabers, the latter of which will be available for one more week.

Every major Fortnite update is followed up with a content hotfix update. This week is no different and we now know the changes that have been introduced on May 10th, 2022.

Here are the full patch notes for the new release.

Fortnite Patch Notes May 10, 2022

Usually, Epic Games will have the patch notes up for a content update at 2 PM BST. However, as of writing, they’re still not available. Thankfully, data miners have revealed the changes in the May 10th, 2022 patch update.

The Air Strike item along with the Hunting Rifle and the Flint-Knock Pistol have all been unvaulted. We’ll provide more information on each item including where to find them in a separate article.

For those wanting to know the stat for the Hunting Rifle and the Flint-Knock Pisto, you can find them below:

Hunting Rifle Fortnite Stats

Flint-Knock Pistol Fortnite Stats

There are new Resistance challenges available, likely the last set before the season ends along with a secret Klombo challenge. Any of the new challenges that require a guide to help you complete, we’ll be posting on the site shortly.

We’ll update this post when Epic Games post the official patch notes for today’s release.

Is Fortnite Down? Error esp-buimet-003 – Xbox PS4 PS5 Server Status May 10, 2022

Players are reporting that the Fortnite servers are down right now (May 10, 2022). Here’s everything you need to know including information on the Fortnite error esp-buimet-003.

Since the launch of Chapter 3, there has been more Fortnite server downtime than the whole of chapter two. When the new chapter launch, the servers were down for hours due to the sheer number of players looking to log in to experience the new chapter at the same time.

To fix the issue, Epic Games needed to deploy a queue to get everyone their Fortnite fix. However, more problems followed during the Winterfest event when everyone would log in at the same time each day to open a new present.

There were then more issues where the Fortnite servers were down for more than six hours, and to compensate players for lost time, Epic Games provided a free cosmetic for every player that tried logging in during that downtime period.

It looks like there are more issues with the Fortnite servers today (May 10th, 2022). Reports of not being able to log in were flooding Twitter a few hours ago, and Epic Games have released a statement on the Fortnite Status Twitter account.

Are the Fortnite Servers Down Right Now? May 10, 2022

More than two hours ago, Epic Games stated that they were investigating issues where some players are unable to log in on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Here’s the tweet below:

Fortnite Servers Down May 10 2022 Server Status

Fortnite esp-buimet-003 error fix

When trying to log in on PS4, PS5, Xbox One X|S, players are greeted with a red error box with the following text, “an error occurred while connecting to Epic servers. Please try again later”.

Fortnite esp-buimet-003 error fix

There’s an error message on the bottom right of the screen, esp-buimet-003. This is a new Fortnite error code we’ve not seen before, but it appears as though it’s a network error code, and there’s nothing you can to do fix this issue.

Players will need to wait until Epic has fixed the issue, and we’ll provide updates below when the servers are back up. In the meantime, why not try our Fortnite take on Wordle over HERE.

Fortnite Server Status – When Will the Servers Be Back Up?

As this isn’t scheduled maintenance, we’re not sure when the servers will be back up on May 10th, 2022. However, we’ll update the server status below whenever they’re available.

Current server status: DOWN for console.

New Fortnite Survey Skins Released by Epic Games – Upcoming 2022 Cosmetics

Epic Games have released a new survey showcasing a number of new upcoming Fortnite skins that’ll likely release in 2022.

The sale of individual cosmetics in the item shop including Fortnite skins makes up the majority of the revenue Epic Games generates from the popular Battle Royale title.

Originally, all of the outfits that were released were original, but for the past couple of years, Epic has been releasing regular collaboration skins. This season, we’ve already seen several skins released as part of a collaboration, the most recent of which was released yesterday.

The Scarlet Witch outfit was accidentally leaked ahead of time by Epic but was made available to purchase in the shop last night. The set also includes other cosmetics such as the Cloak Back Ling, the Chaos Hand Axe Pickaxe, and the Psychic Energy Manipulation Emote.

Scarlet Witch Fortnite Skin

Although we get plenty of skins as part of collaborations, Epic still create their fair share of original skins, some of which are released as concept art in surveys asking if players like the outfits shown in the image.

The last set of survey skins we saw was released last year in December, but as of today, May 7th, 2022, players have been posting the new Fortnite survey skins they’ve seen. Here’s a look at the new survey skins that have been posted on social media so far.

2022 Fortnite Survey Skins

This is the third time we’ve seen a large set of Fortnite survey skins. The last time around, there were more than 46 skins, most of which were released in packs, bundles, in the shop, or skin in a season’s Battle Pass.

The 2022 set features more than fifty Fortnite skins, however, some of them were in the previous set and are yet to be released. Here’s a look at all the skins:

Fortnite Survey Skins May 2022

It’s likely a couple of skins in the image above will be in the Battle Pass either next season or the season after. The rest of the outfits will likely be released in the shop with some being made available in packs or bundles.

Fortnite Update May 5 2022 3.55 Patch Notes – What’s New (PS4, PS5, Xbox, PC)

Epic Games have released a new Fortnite update, 3.55, today (May 5, 2022).

Epic Games released the penultimate Fortnite update for chapter 3 season 2 two days ago. It was the third major patch release of the season, and it introduced the Battle for Tilted Towers.

It was pretty much a guarantee that something would happen to Tilted Towers when it was added to the map. The 20.30 patch saw three buildings being completely destroyed with damage to some of the surrounding buildings.

Funding stations for the Choppas were also set up across all seven outposts, and once it’s 100% funded, it’ll be unvaulted until at least the end of the season, although it’ll likely remain in the game for beyond season two.

Shotguns were rebalanced with changes to increase the damage for most shots including headshots. Each shotgun in the game was given a “max damage cap” which affects the maximum damage a single shot can deal.

The Star Wars lightsabers also made a return along with another Star Wars weapon being added to the game. It’s one of the best patch update we’ve had recently and appears as though players are enjoying using the lightsabers.

Fortnite 3.55 May 5th, 2022 Update Patch Notes

The Fortnite Status Twitter account announced that a maintenance patch had been pushed to all Xbox consoles to address stability issues. In order for players to download the new patch, they needed to close their game.

Fortnite 3.55 Update

Recently, the 3.55 Fortnite update was pushed to PC, PS5, PS4, and Android to address stability issues. Epic is planning to release the same update on Nintendo Switch, which will likely be released in the next few hours.

Fortnite May 5 2022 Patch Update Notes

As expected, there is no new content or features that were added in the May 5th, 2022 update. We should have a content update released next Tuesday followed by the final patch update of the season.

Fortnite Omega Knight Skin Challenge Bundle Pack Leaked – Release Date

Data miners have leaked the upcoming Omega Knight Fortnite skin challenge bundle pack along with the release date.

Epic Games are always releasing new Fortnite skins. Each major patch update is a chance for Epic to add them into the files ready for release. They’ll also use data miners to promote some of their outfit releases.

The skins they don’t mind being leaked, they’ll leave decrypted, the ones they want to keep a secret until it’s closer to the release date, they’ll encrypt, although there have been numerous times in the past where data miners have managed to get them in-game on a private server and leak them by screenshotting them in the Fortnite lobby.

Sometimes, Epic will accidentally leak the release of a new skin anyway, which they did with the Omega Knight skin. The Omega Knight skin will be part of a challenge pack, and players noticed that the challenges are showing up early in the quests/challenges tab on the console.

However, you won’t be able to complete the challenges because the Omega Knight outfit hasn’t been released yet. The challenges tab for the upcoming skin provides a look at what the outfit will look like, but data miners have given us a high-definition image of the skin along with a release date for the challenge pack.

Omega Knight Challenge Fortnite Skin Pack

For those unaware, Omega is a Battle Pass skin from Chapter 1 Season 4. It was obtained as a reward at tier 100, and there were six different stages of the skin, each of which upgraded the armor on the outfit.

Players could also customize the colours that appeared on the Omega outfit with a selection of four different colours; red, green, purple, and orange.

As you can see from the leaked image of the Omega Knight skin, it looks very similar to the Omega outfit, only better. The skin set will also include a gold variant along with a sword pickaxe with multiple different styles.

Omega Knight Fortnite Skin

According to data miner Tiger Hyper, there will be a total of 21 Omega Knight challenges. We’re guessing that by completing these challenges, you’ll unlock the different styles and variants of both the skin and sword pickaxe.

Release Date

Whilst there’s never official information regarding leaked skins, according to the popular leaker, iFireMonkey, the Omega Knight skin should be released in tonight’s item shop reset, May 3rd, 2022, for the US, and May 4th, 2022, for Europe.

Fortnite Beach Jules Skin Cosmetic Changes Message – Was it a Free Skin?

Epic Games have sent out a message to all Fortnite players regarding changes to the Beach Jules Fortnite skin. Players are now wondering if it was a free skin.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen Epic Games provide additional skin styles to outfits that have already been released in the Fortnite Item Shop at no additional cost to the user.

This was far more common in chapter 1 and the start of chapter 2, but we’ve had a couple of skins receive an additional style here are there in the past six months.

Occasionally, Epic will make slight adjustments to cosmetics that have been released. We’ve seen emotes and skins receive changes after release once players realise they pay to win whether that’s through an emote allowing players to dodge bullets easily, or a skin blending in with most environments around the Fortnite map.

There are fewer cases where Epic will decide to simply make changes to a cosmetic for little to no reason, but it looks like that’s what they’ve done with the Fortnite Beach Jules Skin in today’s 20.30 patch update.

Beach Jules Fortnite Changes

Epic adjusted the skin tone for Beach Jules to match the Chapter two season three version of the outfit. For that reason, Epic Games are allowing players to refund it without needing to use up a refund token, but you’ll need to refund it before June 2nd, 2022.

Here’s the message players are seeing when logging in after the 20.30 update:

Beach Jules Fortnite

I don’t have Beach Jules, why am I getting this message? Is the skin free?

Unfortunately, Epic Games have made an error that has led to every single Fortnite player receiving the above message. That has led to questions asking whether the skin is free, or players asking why they’re getting the message if they don’t have the skin.

Beach Jules is not a free skin or a Battle Pass skin. As mentioned above, this was sent to every player in error. Even if you claim the refund token, if you try to use it, it won’t work. Simply ignore the message and refund token if you never purchased Beach Jules.
