Here are the answers and hints for the Word Hurdle words #1629 (morning) and #1630 (afternoon) for today, released on April 10th, 2024.

Word Hurdle is a game that was previously known as Wordle 2 but has now joined the Solitaired games website. In this game, players must guess the six-letter word in six or fewer guesses and there are two words released every day. One of the words is released in the morning and the other, in the afternoon.

The rules are similar to Wordle in that players are not given any initial clues as to what the words are and all guesses must be words in the American English language.

When you make a guess, the colours of the tiles will change, indicating whether the letters you guessed are in the answer and whether you have correctly placed them in the word. This game’s colours are grey, yellow, and blue, which have most likely been changed to distinguish itself further from the original Wordle.

Epic has already released the patch notes for the LEGO game mode which we’ve included below.

WHO’S RIDING SHOTGUN?

You know what they say: life isn’t about how fast you reach your destination. It’s about the journey along the way! Mechanical Mayhem introduces three vehicle Builds with their own way of taking you place to place. (There are also new ways to make a custom vehicle… more on that in a bit!)

SPEEDER

LEGO Fortnite Speeder

In a hurry? The Speeder is ideal for zipping from biome to biome. Unlock the recipe for the Speeder by adding a Power Cell (NEW!) to your inventory.

OFFROADER

LEGO Fortnite Offroader

The Offroader is perfect for carrying around multiple passengers. Unlock the recipe for the Offroader by adding Flexwood to your inventory (usually found in the Dry Valley biome).

HAULER

LEGO Fortnite Hauler

Let the Hauler do the heavy lifting because there’s plenty of room in the trunk. Unlock the recipe for the Hauler by adding Frostpine to your inventory (usually found in the Frostlands biome).

HOW TO MAKE VEHICLE BUILDS

When you unlock the recipe for a vehicle Build, you can create it from the Builds section of the Build menu.

If you’re the kind of person who throws away instructions before reading them, you can do things your own way using the Vehicle Parts in the Toys section. You’ll need some specific Toys if you want to class your creations as vehicles:

TOYS IN YOUR TOOLBOX

  • Power Center – The engine of your vehicle!
    • Load Power Centers up with Power Cells to power your vehicles. (That’s a lot of power.) The more Power Cells you load, the longer you can drive for.

LEGO Fortnite Power Center

A Power Center.

  • Wheels – Turn in the right direction or give your vehicle an extra push!
    • If your vehicle has Turnable Wheels attached, you can use a Driver’s Seat to turn your vehicle. Unlike Turnable Wheels, Powered Wheels simply propel your vehicle forward.
  • Seats – For your safety… and comfort!
    • You’ll need a Driver’s Seat (a.k.a. steering wheel… they’re finally here!) to control and drive your vehicle. Place some extra Seats to take your friends on road trips.

LEGO Fortnite Drivers Seat

Have a seat… and this picture of one.

HOW TO POWER VEHICLES

Waste not, want not. LEGO® Fortnite operates on an eco-friendly fuel policy to protect your world’s precious biomes. How? You can recycle your old resources into clean energy with a brand new Station:

COMPOST BIN

LEGO Fortnite Compost Bin

Is your inventory getting busy? Why throw your old items away when you can put them to good use!

The Compost Bin is a new Station that turns resources into BiomassFertilizer, or Soil. The number and rarity of what it spits out will depend on what you put in, but you’ll need to create Biomass to unlock the Power Cell recipe.

(One of the ingredients for a Power Cell is Glass. You can now find Glass from bandit camps around your world!)

NEED A TUNE-UP? USE A WRENCH!

LEGO Fortnite Wrench

It’s not just Toys in your toolbox. With a Wrench, you can assign Switches and Thrusters to channels, which means you can control as many Thrusters as you’d like using three separate Switches, rather than having one Switch controlling everything. Unlock the recipe for the Wrench by adding a Wooden Rod to your inventory.

ILLUMINATE THE DARK

LEGO Fortnite Illuminator

This is for all the night drivers out there. Though not a Vehicle Part, the Illuminator will add an aura of light to your world in dark areas! Unlock the recipe for the Illuminator by adding a Thermal Fish to your inventory and having a Crafting Bench in your world.

Ready to become a mechanic after reading everything above? It’s okay if you aren’t — Jules, Comet, and Lynx will steer you in the right direction if you need a hand with vehicles!

MORE UPDATES!

ROAR

The suit-wearing tiger Oscar joins Jules, Comet, and Lynx as potential new Villagers!

SWEET (…AND SPICY?) TREATS

Nothing like dessert after fending off foes. You’ll unlock the recipes for Ice CreamSnowberry Ice Cream, and Spicy Ice Cream if you add Snow to your inventory and have a Juicer in your world.

MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS, ADJUSTMENTS, AND BUG FIXES

GAMEPLAY

  • New smart transfer feature: transfer all similar items to and from storage.
  • It’s easier to visually tell when your constructs take damage.
    • With the new vehicle building features, we had to adjust some durability values. We recommend using higher-rarity resources to strengthen your constructs if any part breaks.
  • Items can be dropped one at a time when a stack is picked up.
  • Pools of fish can be found near new (but somehow already run-down) docks that are alongside lakes and rivers.
  • Made improvements to constructs so they remain stable when entering and exiting caves.
  • Made stabilization fixes for constructs traveling large distances across the world.

OTHER

  • The Stormy Emote will be updated to its full, intended animation in LEGO Fortnite.

MORE OUTFITS GET A LEGO STYLE

With v29.10, you’ll find even more LEGO Styles for your favorite Outfits! If you already own these Outfits, their LEGO Styles will automatically be in your Locker:

Fortnite Update Patch Notes 4.18 v29.01 – Server Downtime 1.000.129 – 19 March 2024

Epic Games has announced a new Fortnite update, v29.01 (4.18). Here are the early patch notes for the 19th March 2024 release including server downtime information.

It’s been just over a week since Epic Games released Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 which included major map changes, a new Battle Pass, and several new mythic items and bosses.

Unfortunately, there have been several major bugs and performance issues since the release of the new season, including extended downtime which meant the game was down for the longest period since the Battle Royale game mode was first released.

Thankfully, most of the issues have been resolved with hotfix updates, and players have been enjoying everything the season has to offer.

However, players are always excited when the first Fortnite update of a new season releases, and that’s no different in Chapter 5 Season 2.

Earlier, Epic announced that the v29.01 (1.000.129) will be released today, and they also stated when the servers will go down for scheduled maintenance.

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s new release including server downtime and the new content players can expect to see on 19th March 2024.

Fortnite Servers Down Today – March 19, 2024 – When Will They Be Back Up

Whenever Epic releases a major Fortnite update, the servers need to go offline in order to prepare them for the latest version of the game.
Today’s new v29.01 update is no different with Epic announcing that the Fortnite servers will go offline on March 19th, 2024 at 4 AM ET / 8 AM GMT with matchmaking being disabled roughly 30 minutes prior.
Here’s the official tweet regarding v29.01 / 4.18 (1.000.129) server downtime:
Fortnite v29.01 Server Downtime Today 19 March 2024
There’s no information in regards to when the Fortnite servers will be back online, but based on previous updates, we’d expect them to be back up at roughly 7 AM ET / 11 AM GMT on March 19th, 2024.

New Fortnite Update 4.17 1.000.128 Patch Notes – 9 March 2024

Epic Games has released a new Fortnite update today, 4.17 (1.000.128). Here are the patch notes for the 9th March 2024 release.

Players are always excited about the release of a new season, especially when the current season is drawing to an end.

Before the release of a new season, Epic releases teasers to build up hype. Typically, these teasers provide an insight into upcoming features, items, or skins that’ll be in the Battle Pass.

In the build-up for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, Epic held a mini-event that featured a titan hand and Pandora’s box.

Once the box opened, Epic released the first teaser image which continued until the day before the season’s release date.

During downtime, Epic Games released the patch notes for the new season. As expected, there were numerous map changes, new features, and new mythic items.

Unfortunately, there were issues with the release of season two, and the server downtime was much longer than originally anticipated.

When a new season is launched, the servers are usually down for roughly 3-4 hours. However, Epic ran into issues and needed to extend the downtime.

After no comment from Epic after five hours of downtime, they tweeted on the Fortnite Status account that they would need an additional eight hours of downtime.

Fortnite Servers Down MArch 8 when will they b back up

That was then extended by a further two hours, and the Fortnite servers were finally back on although Epic needed to deploy a queue to prevent server overload.

Thankfully, the servers are now up thanks to Epic releasing today’s 4.17 / 1.000.128 patch release on 9th March 2024.

Fortnite 4.17 / 1.000.128 Update Patch Notes – 03/09/2024

In order for Fortnite to work as intended, Epic needed to release another update on top of the originally released downloadable update.

The 4.17 / 1.000.128 is a small update, but players need to download it in order to play the game. It’s likely there were several issues with the update that was pushed and in order to fix them, Epic had to release another update.

There are still several issues with the game that need addressing, so it’s more than likely Epic will need to release another downloadable update to address the remaining issues.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 New Map Locations

Here’s a look at the map for Fortnite chapter 5 season 2 including some of the new POIs you’ll find.

The Fortnite servers are currently down for scheduled maintenance to prepare them for the release of Chapter 5 Season 2.

There have been numerous leaks of everything players can expect to see in the new season along with Epic providing information by releasing the patch notes for Battle Royale early.

One of the most exciting aspects of a new season of Fortnite is the map changes.

Thankfully, we have some large map changes with the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, and here’s a look at all the major changes.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Map Changes

Thankfully, a popular Fortnite leaker, Hypex, has posted an image of the entire Chapter 5 Season 2 map which you can check out below:

As expected, we have numerous Greek Mythology locations on the map including Mount Olympus, home of Zeus.

Fortnite Server Downtime – When Will They Be Back Up? March 8th 2024

The Fortnite servers will be down today, March 8th, 2024, and here’s everything you need to know about scheduled downtime.

Fortnite players are always looking forward to a new season of Fortnite, especially at the tail end of the current season.

Since the leaks emerged that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 will be Greek Methologythemed, the excitement has been ramped up.

On Sunday, Epic held a mini-live event that concluded with a titan hand spawning on the Fortnite chapter 5 season 1 map.

Players had to work together to shoot the chains and open the box. Once opened, a tornado emerged from the box.

With the release of a new season, Epic releases numerous teasers ahead of time, and the build-up to Chapter 5 Season 2 is no different.

Here’s a look at all the teasers we’ve had for the build-up to the new season.

Earlier today, Epic released a short trailer for the “Myths & Mortals” season which can be seen below.

Is Fortnite Down Today March 8 2024

Downtime for the new season has been announced. Here’s when the Fortnite servers will go down for scheduled maintenance ahead of the launch of the Myths and Mortals season.

Is Fortnite Down on March 8th, 2024?

Yes, Fortnite is down on 8 March 2024 in order to prepare the servers for the new release.

Every major patch requires some downtime, and today’s release is no different.

Earlier, Epic announced that the Fortnite servers will go offline for scheduled maintenance at 3 AM ET / 8 AM GMT with matchmaking being disabled a few minutes prior.

Here’s the official tweet:

Fortnite Server Downtime 8 March 2024

When Will The Servers Be Back Up?

Epic Games never mentions how long the servers will be offline. However, after covering Fortnite Battle Royale and all the updates for over 5 years, we have an idea of how long the servers will be down and when they’ll be back online.

It’s likely the Fortnite servers will be back online at roughly 8 PM ET March 8th / 3 AM GMT March 9th. We’ll update this article as soon as they’re back online.

Update: Epic Games needs an additional 8 hours of downtime.

Whilst you’re waiting, read the official patch notes below:

LEGENDARY LOCATIONS

MOUNT OLYMPUS

You can’t have Olympus without Mount Olympus. Home of Zeus, you’ll always feel like you’re being watched with the grand monument that graces this great mountain.

Fortnite Mount Olympus

GRIM GATE

To get to “The Underworld,” one way to get there is crossing the river at Grim Gate… where the three-headed guard dog Cerberus awaits. Venture to the west of the Island to confront these canines!

BRAWLER’S BATTLEGROUND

The god of war, Ares always welcomes a battle. Take him up on his challenge in the Brawler’s Battleground arena south of Mount Olympus. (Oh yeah, Ares will be the Outfit of the April 2024 Crew Pack!)

Fortnite Brawler's Battleground

These are just some of the locations the gods brought to the Island. However, don’t forget what else they’ve brought with them…

CHAOS UPON THE LAND

The gods descended with their powers and weapons, but that doesn’t mean your next battle has to end in tragedy. Make your next battle a myth to remember by using them for yourself!

THUNDERBOLT OF ZEUS

Fortnite Thunderbolt of Zeus

Become a Storm of your own. With the Thunderbolt of Zeus, you can rise into the air and hurl lightning bolts at your target! Use this power wisely though, as the Thunderbolt of Zeus has three maximum charges with a cooldown between each one. How to wield this electricity? Pick up this Mythic power across the Island or by defeating Zeus himself.

GATEKEEPER SHOTGUN

Fortnite Gatekeeper Shotgun

Forged by Hephaestus for Cerberus, the Gatekeeper Shotgun can quickly fire three aggressive rounds. This Shotgun is best at short range, so hit all three shots fast to show your bite’s as bad as your bark! When you’re done, prepare for your next target with a full magazine reload. The Gatekeeper Shotgun can be found across the Island, but the Mythic variant is only obtainable from Cerberus rolling over.

HARBINGER SMG

Fortnite Harbinger SMG

Like Hades himself, the Harbinger SMG is unforgiving and relentless — even when exhausted. Highly accurate when first shot, it has dramatically increased recoil and bloom as more bullets are fired. But that doesn’t stop it from going all out. Find the regular version across the Island or the Mythic version from defeating Hades.

HUNTRESS DMR

Fortnite Huntress DMR

Artemis, goddess of the moonlit hunt. During battle, take a note from Artemis and use a weapon created to dole out punishment from a distance. Even though it was created for gods to punish mortals, flip the script and use the Huntress DMR to punish the gods (and some mortals too we guess). You can hunt for Huntress DMRs across the Island… or get the Mythic version by hunting down Zeus.

WARFORGED ASSAULT RIFLE

Fortnite Warforged Assault Rifle

The Warforged Assault Rifle is forged for battle-hungry gods — which is why it’s the favorite of Ares. Powerful yet unruly, this Assault Rifle has high damage, high rate of fire, and strong recoil. Find one across the Island or fight Ares for the Mythic version!

ANOTHER POWER… THE POWER OF FLIGHT!

Fortnite Wings of Icarus

The Thunderbolt of Zeus isn’t the only Olympian Power. With the Wings of Icarus, soar through the skies and divebomb your foes below! But beware: fly too long and your wings will burn up, and taking too much damage may lead to a crash landing. Find this Mythic power across the Island!

Yet another Olympian Power is coming your way — the Chains of Hades will pull you in later this Season…

UNDERGROUND IN THE UNDERWORLD: WEAPONS FROM LAST SEASON

Unlike Orpheus looking back at Eurydice, you’re allowed to turn to the weapons from Chapter 5 Season 1. Here’s a list of the weapons returning from last Season:

  • Hammer Pump Shotgun
  • Frenzy Auto Shotgun
  • Nemesis AR
  • Thunder Burst SMG
  • Reaper Sniper Rifle
  • Ranger Pistol

MYTHS & MODS

Fortnite Thermal Scope and Speedgrip Mods

It’s not enough that weapons descended from Olympus — the Thermal Scope and Speedgrip weapon mods did too. Also forged by Hephaestus, the Thermal Scope mod can be attached to any scoped weapon. Want vision like that of the gods? It more than doubles the scope view and has a thermal effect you can toggle on or off! With the Speedgrip mod, your movement speed while aiming will increase. Aim true and don’t tarry!

Like last Season, you can find mods at Mod Benches, but this time the benches are in new Weapons Bunkers. The bunkers that are unchained will unlock in the middle of the match, when they become ready to raid! If mods aren’t your M.O., Weapons Bunkers also have… weapons.

THE MYTHS MATERIALIZE IN THE MYTHS & MORTALS BATTLE PASS

Alongside Chapter 5 Season 2 comes the Myths & Mortals Battle Pass! With the Battle Pass, unlock rewards in Fortnite by earning XP across Fortnite Battle Royale, creator-made islands, LEGO® Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. Among these rewards are Outfits of some of the legends above, including Zeus and Artemis!

Purchase the Myths & Mortals Battle Pass for only 950 V-Bucks and earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks back by progressing in it.

RANKED ZERO BUILD – NA MATCHMAKING TEST

Ranked Zero Build Matchmaking Test

Ranked ZB players in North America!

We’ve heard your feedback about longer queue times at the upper Zero Build ranks. To address this, we’re doing a test! The NA-East and NA-West matchmaking regions will route to the NA-Central matchmaking region for Ranked Zero Build. This is so that Ranked Zero Build players in North America will be up against a wider pool of players, which means shorter queue times. The results of this test will determine if this is a long-term solution.

MORE RANKED UPDATES

Ranked Updates

The following updates apply to both Ranked Battle Royale and Ranked Zero Build:

  • We tweaked progression in the upper ranks to make it harder and more rewarding to reach Unreal.
  • Points are no longer granted for surviving without taking damage.

Fortnite Update v29.00 (4.16) Early Patch Notes – Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass Myths and Mortals

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s new Fortnite update including early patch notes for Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths and Mortals.

During the last couple of weeks of a Fortnite season, players tend to get bored and start to look forward to what’s to come.

Last week, Epic held a live mini-event that saw a Titan Hand spawn on the map with Pandora’s box. Players needed to shoot the chains around the box as part of a community event.

Once the chain was shot down, a tornado was released out of the box. A day later, Epic started releasing teasers to build hype around Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.

After the final teaser was released, Epic Games released a 20-second video that provided some insight into what players can expect in the new season.

The video also confirmed that Chapter 5 Season 2 will be based on Greek Mythology, and the name of the season is “Myths and Mortals”.

Here’s a look at the trailer:

With the new season just hours away, we’ve created our early patch notes for today’s v29.00 / 4.16 / 1.000.127 Fortnite update.

The 20-second trailer you saw above includes some teasers about what players can expect in today’s v29.00 (4.16 / 1.000.127) update.

There will be at least four new mythic items to use which are listed below:

⚡ Zeus’ Lightning Bolt
Cerberus’ Wolves
⛓ Hades’ Chains
Icarus’ Wings

There’s no information as to how they work but we’ll have the official patch notes posted as soon as they’re available that’ll provide more information about how they work.

Fortnite C5S2 Mythic Items

A new season always includes new locations for players to discover, and Chapter 5 Season 2 is no different.

We know there will be at least three Greek Mythology-themed POIs on the map including the following:

  • Mount Olympus
  • Castle of Hades
  • River of Styx

Leaks suggest there will be eight new locations which means a large portion of the map will see some changes made.

New POI Fortnite C5S2

New seasons of Fortnite also include changes to the loot pool to keep things fresh.

We should see some items returning from the vault such as the Hand Cannon, but we’ll also see new items added to the loot pool.

Chapter 5 Season 2 Fortnite Battle Pass Skins

All Fortnite players tend to heavily judge a season based on the Battle Pass. From what we’ve seen, it looks like the Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass skins will be some of the best we’ve seen in a while.

Here are the skins in the Battle Pass:

  • Zeus
  • Hades
  • Cerberus
  • Icarus
  • Ares

There will be other skins, but they are yet to be confirmed. We’ll update this as soon as know all the skins in the Battle Pass.

Fortnite Titan Hand Earthquake Live Event Time – Pandora’s Box – March 2nd 2024

Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite hand live event that should go live on 29th February 2024 or possibly in early March.

We’re just over a week away from a new season of Fortnite; Chapter 5 Season 2.

The Battle Royale game mode hasn’t seen much from Epic Games this season with less new content than we’ve seen in comparison to previous seasons.

Epic has been concentrating on the other three game modes they released at the end of last year.

Over the past couple of months, Epic has introduced a number of new features and items to LEGO Fortnite along with a new season for the Festival game mode.

However, Battle Royale players have been excited at the leaked Titan Hand mini-live event that’s supposed to be going live at some point today.

There have been numerous leaks about the February/March Fortnite Hand live event, and here’s everything you need to know including an expected go-live date and what to expect.

Fortnite Earthquake Titan Hand Live Event March 2 2024

If you haven’t been keeping up with all the leaks and teasers, the next season of Fortnite will be Greek mythology-related and will likely be called Fortnite Odyssey.

The teasers for the new season all but confirm we’ll be getting an Ares, Zues, Hades, and Medusa skin with more to be confirmed.

Here’s a look at one of the teasers:

Fortnite February March 2024 Live Event Time

We’ve seen Greek Mythology-related Fortnite skins teased as part of the survey skins, so have a good idea of what the skins for next season will look like.

Here’s the survey skins that’ll likely be in the Battle Pass next season:

via ShiinaBR

Amongst all the information about the skins, data miners leaked some information regarding a mini Fortnite live event that’s expected to go live today, 2nd March 2024.

We’ve been getting earthquakes in Fortnite for the past few days, and some cracks have appeared on the Chapter 5 Season 1 map.

Leaks confirm that these earthquakes will lead to a Titan lava hand appearing outside of the whole shown above.

The Fortnite hand will have Pandora’s Box within it, and when the box opens, there will be further “chaos” mini-events around the map including Thunder, Tornados, and more Earthquakes.

We’ll be able to watch the titan’s hand emerge from lava cracks live in-game.

In order to open Pandora’s Box in Fortnite, players will need to team together to shoot the chains to drop and then open Pandora’s Box.

Fortnite Hand Live Event Pandoras Box 2024

Fortnite Hand Live Event Start Time – 2nd March 2024

Fortnite leakers are usually extremely accurate when it comes to predicting the start time for Fortnite live events

However, that’s not been the case with this Titan Hand mini live Fortnite event.

The event was expected to go live today at 11 AM ET / 4 PM UTC.

Fortnite Hand Live Event Start Date Time 2024

Although the event is not yet live, Epic updated Titan Hand’s final earthquake kill zone to 10 meters, so players will need to ensure they’re far away from the hand to ensure they’re not eliminated.

There’s a good chance the event will go live tomorrow at 12 PM ET / 5 PM UTC.

UPDATE: Here’s an update hint from one of the devs

Update 2:

Update 3:

Epic has teased the live Titan hand mini-event:

According to leakers, the event will take place today, March 2nd at 2 PM ET / 7 PM GMT.
