Fortnite Server Downtime June 9th 2023 โ€“ When Will The Servers Be Back Up Online?

Epic Games announced when server downtime will begin for the release of Fortnite chapter 4 season 3. Here’s everything you need to know.

We’ve known for a few weeks that Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 was scheduled to end on June 9th, 2023 with the new season releasing on the same day.

Most of the items and features that are coming with the release of chapter 4 season 3 were leaked weeks ago by an insider.

It’s likely the reason behind Epic Games deciding to reveal all of the skins that’ll be available in the Battle Pass next season ahead of time. Typically, Epic reveals the skins in the cinematic trailer that’s released as soon as downtime begins for a new season.

However, even when Epic does showcase the Battle Pass skins ahead of time, it’s not each one that’ll be available during the season. With all the skins being leaked already, it made sense for Epic to officially reveal each one.

For those that missed it, here’s a list of all the outfits that’ll be available:

  • Era
  • Trace
  • Rian
  • Lorenzo
  • Mariposa
  • Relik
  • Optimus Prime
  • Purradise Meowoscles

Fortnite Battle Pass Chapter 4 Season 3 Skins

Not only were the skins leaked but features too. We knew we would be getting raptors that players can ride, a mythic drum shotgun, the ability to grind wood vines in the jungle, a level pistol, new consumables, and much more.

Epic released the cinematic trailer for chapter 4 season 3 much earlier than we’ve seen with previous seasons. The trailer debuted at the Summer Fest Games event a couple of hours ago.

As expected, the trailer confirms some of the previous leaks including the rideable Raptors, a Kinetic Boomerang item, a Cybertron cannon, and much more.

If you’d like to read all of the new items and features to expect in the new season, you can check out our full early patch notes over here.

As you’d expect with the release of any major update, Epic Games will have to take the Fortnite servers offline to prepare them for the new content. The release of the chapter 4 season 3 update is no different.

Fortnite Scheduled Server Maintenance Downtime – June 9th 2023

Epic always announce when the Fortnite servers will go down for scheduled maintenance hours before they’re taken down. This time around, Epic made the announcement earlier.

As always, the announcement was made on the official Fortnite Status Twitter account. The Fortnite servers will do down for scheduled maintenance today, June 9th, 2023.

The only difference this time around is instead of the servers going down at 4 AM ET, the servers will go down at 2 AM ET. However, matchmaking will be disabled shortly before, likely thirty minutes prior to the servers going down.

Here’s the official tweet from the Fortnite Status Twitter account:

Fortnite Server Downtime Today June 9 2023

When Will the Fortnite Servers Be Back Online?

Although Epic announce when the Fortnite servers will go down for maintenance, they never state how long they’ll be down for. However, with a normal update, the servers are usually down for two hours.

As this is an update for a brand new season, we’d expect the game to be offline longer than a usual update. Based on what we’ve seen from the release of previous seasons, we’d expect the Fortnite servers to be back up at roughly 5 AM or 6 AM on June 9th, 2023.

Are the Fortnite Servers Up Right Now? Status

We’ll update this article when as soon as the Fortnite servers are back online. When they are back up, there’s a good chance Epic might deploy a queue.

New Fortnite Update v25.00 3.92 Patch Notes Today โ€“ 9th June 2023 (Chapter 4 Season 3)

Epic Games have announced a new Fortnite update is coming today, v25.00 (3.92). Here are the early patch notes for the 9th June 2023 release.

Just over two weeks ago, Epic Games released the final update for Fortnite chapter 4 season 2. The update saw the release of the highly anticipated Spider-Verse collaboration.

Along with a Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099 skin, the collaboration saw the fan-favorite Spider-Man Web-Shooters making a return with a slight name change and small tweaks to how the item works.

Last week, there was a small server-side update that was released to address any stability issues that were introduced with the 24.40 update.

Players have been waiting for the new season of Fortnite, chapter 4 season 3, to release for a few weeks now. However, the fan base has been more eager to see a new season release partly due to a popular item being vaulted.

The Kinetic Blade was vaulted over two weeks ago due to a glitch that allows players to eliminate an opponent from any distance, something which Epic couldn’t patch.

There’s no information regarding whether the Kinetic Blade will be available in the new season, but we do have some early patch notes for the v25.00 (3.92) update thanks to data miners as well as information from the newly released season three cinematic trailer.

Here’s a look at everything we know will be coming in the v25.00 Fortnite chapter 4 season 3 update.

Fortnite v25.00 Update Patch Notes (3.92) – 9/6/2023 – 9th June 2023

A couple of years ago, the only leaks we would get for Fortnite would be anything that data miners leaked from a new Fortnite update.

However, over the last year or so, popular data miners including Hypex and ShiinaBR have had numerous season themes and upcoming items and changes leaked to them by an insider at Epic Games.

The Fortnite chapter 4 season 3 theme was leaked over a month ago. Optimus Prime was leaked as a Battle Pass skin weeks ago too, along with other changes coming with the release of the v25.00 update.

It’s likely the reason why Epic Games released all of the skins that’ll be available in the season 3 Battle Pass. To start off the early patch notes, here’s the list of skins that will be in the Battle Pass along with what they look like:

  • Era
  • Trace
  • Rian
  • Lorenzo
  • Mariposa
  • Relik
  • Optimus Prime
  • Purradise Meowoscles

Fortnite Battle Pass Chapter 4 Season 3 Skins

It’s already been confirmed that Optimus will be the tier 100 outfit. The Purradise Meowscles will be the additional outfit that’ll be available to unlock later on in the season.

Further leaks suggest that the new Meowscles outfit will have two different styles available. It’s possible the outfit will be unlockable when Epic releases its summer event for 2023.

Hypex posted numerous leaks that would be coming in Fortnite chapter 4 season 4 (v25.00) including the ability to ride Raptors that’ll get exhausted after a certain period of time.

This was confirmed with the release of the cinematic trailer for the new season. The ability to grind wood vines similar to how players can now in mega city was also leaked and recently confirmed by the cinematic trailer.

In fact, everything we saw in the trailer will be coming in today’s v25.00 (3.92) chapter 4 season 3 update. A lever Pistol will be coming to the game along with a Mythic Drum Shotgun.

Helicopters will be available with a launcher attached to it that’ll deal 35 damage to opponents. An Epic/Legendary Thermal Bolt Action Rifle will be added in the v25.00 Fortnite update today too. Again, all of these features that were seen in the trailer were already leaked more than two weeks ago.

Kinetic Boomerang

A Kinetic Boomerang was also spotted in the cinematic trailer. Thanks to data miners, we also know a Wildwasp Jar, Cybertron Cannon, FlapJack Rifle, and a Thermal DMR will be available in the new season. Bomb flowers, Stink flowers, and Slurp plants are new items that’ll be available too.

Finally, there will be a ropes and chains launcher in chapter 4 season 3, although the full extent of how this new item will work is unknown.

Aside from what was seen in the trailer, we know a 14 days of Summer event will be making a return along with a racing mode being added to the game with speed objects, cosmetics, a car garage, sky/ground race tracks, and more.

During downtime, we’ll be covering everything related to the new season including any leaks. Be sure to keep up to date with our coverage over here.

What Time is the Fortnite Live Event June 2023 Chapter 4 Season 3

With Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 coming to an end, players are wondering if there will be a live event in June 2023 to conclude the season.

We’re just a day away from a new season of Fortnite, chapter 4 season 3. As expected, Epic Games have been posting teaser images and videos in the lead-up to the new season.

A couple of days ago, Epic released images of four of the season three Battle Pass skins on social media. Some of the skins were already leaked by data miners a couple of weeks ago.

The first set of images for the Battle Pass skins included; Era, Trace, Rian, and Lorenzo.

Yesterday, Epic Games released images of the final four season three Battle Pass skins included the previously leaked Optimus Prime outfit.

In between these images showcasing the new Battle Pass skins, Epic have been posting videos that showcase what the new locations will look like.

The first teaser video gave us our first glimpse at the new jungle POI that’ll be coming with the release of chapter 4 season 3.

Another video was posted on June 6th highlighted a large portion of the changed map:

Thankfully, players won’t have to wait long to see what’s in store with the release of chapter 4 season 3. The world premiere first look at the new season will be released today during Summer Game Fest.

We don’t know the exact time the premiere will release, however, we know it’ll drop anywhere between 3 PM EST – 5 PM EST.

FC4S3 Trailer

Although there’s plenty of hype surrounding the new season, players are wondering if there will be a live event to conclude Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 that’ll lead us into downtime for the release of chapter 4 season 3. Here’s what we know.

When is the Fortnite Live Event June 2023?

In Chapter one, Epic Games would end every season off with a live event. However, since the launch of chapter 2, Epic have cut down on the number of live events they release.

In the lead up to a new season, players start searching for information as to whether there will be a live event to conclude the season and if so, what time it’ll take place.

Unfortunately, there will be no Fortnite live event in June 2023. That means we’ll go straight into downtime when chapter 4 season 2 ends with chapter 4 season 3 going live hours later.

When there is a live event, Epic Games will communicate the start time, what players can expect during the event, and more.

However, there has been so such information which confirms there will be no live Fortnite event in June 2023.

New Fortnite Update 3.91 Patch Notes Today โ€“ 30th May 2023

Epic Games announced that they released a new Fortnite update today (May 30th, 2023), version 3.91. Here’s what you need to know about the latest release.

Last week, Epic Games released the final update of Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 with the season scheduled to end next week on June 9th.

Aside from the highly anticipated Spider-verse x Fortnite collaboration, there wasn’t much in the way of new changes.

However, the Spider-Man web-shooters returned as the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters, which can be found as floor loot.

If you want to guarantee yourself the Web-Shooters, you can purchase them for gold bars from Spider-Gwen, who was added to the map when the 24.40 update was released.

Although there will be no new major Fortnite update before the start of the new season, we do have a downloadable update on May 30th, 2023.

Fortnite Update 3.91 Patch Notes โ€“ 30th May 2023

Epic Games announced the new 3.91 Fortnite update on the official Fortnite Status account. As expected, this is not a major release and is instead a stability update.

The new update is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna.

As this is a stability fix, there is nothing new that’s been added to the files. Here’s the tweet announcing the new release:

Fortnite Update 3.91 May 30 2023

Although there’s nothing exciting in today’s update, we know what to expect from the new season of Fortnite thanks to leakers.

We know that there will be a Transformers Optimus Prime skin available in the Battle Pass along with knowing that there will be a tropical biome added to the map along with a volcanic area.

A Summer Meowscles skin and a mechanic skin will be available in the new season along with rideable raptors and a new Lever Pistol coming to the game at some point during season 3.

We’ll be covering the build up to the new season including any other leaks that emerge over the next week or so. Be sure to check back to our news page located here.

Did Fortnite Remove Kinetic Blade? Is it Still In The Game?

Fortnite players are wondering whether the Kinetic Blade is gone or if it’s still in Fortnite.

At the start of every season of Fortnite, Epic Games change up the loot pool by vaulting and unvaulted items as well as adding in new items.

Epic has focused on introducing more unique items over the past few seasons. One of the most popular additions over the past year has been the Shockwave Hammer.

It was introduced with the release of Fortnite chapter 4 and quickly became an all-time favorite item thanks to the ability that allows players to rotate around the map and navigate their way out of bad situations.

However, the Shockwave Hammer was vaulted with the release of Fortnite chapter 4 season 2. However, it was replaced with a similar item that can both deal damage and allow players to get around the map quicker.

The Kinetic Blade was the replacement. The new addition allows players to use a basic attack, Knockback Slash, which consists of two quick slashes, both of which will deal 35 damage to an opposing player.

The second function, the Dash Attack, deals 60 damage to opponents as you charge forward. However, the majority of players will use this to travel around the map quicker.

Kinetic Blade Gone in Fortnite

Players can get away from fights or get to a fight quicker using the Kinetic Blade’s Dash Attack. If players look up and use the attack, they can take flight and not worry about fall damage on their way down.

There are two different versions, a rare and an epic version. Here are the stats for each:

The Kinetic Blade can be found across the map but the best place to get your hands on one is on the southeast side of the map at Kenjutsu Crossing.

Unfortunately, players have been having trouble finding the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite, and here’s why.

Is the Kinetic Blade Still in Fortnite or is it Gone?

Players have been wondering whether the Kinetic Blade has been removed from Fortnite as they’re no longer able to find it on the map.

Unfortunately, Epic Games announced on the official Fortnite Status Twitter account that the Kinetic Blade has been removed from all Fortnite playlists due to an issue with the fan favorite item.

The bad news doesn’t end there. Epic Games also stated that the Kinetic Blade won’t be making a return to Fortnite for the remainder of chapter 4 season 2.

Here’s the official tweet:

Kinetic Blade Removed Fortnite

For those wondering, there was a glitch that allowed players to eliminate others from any range with the Kinetic Blade.

Here are the steps players needed to take in order to do this:

  1. Players must be in the open for this to work.
  2. Disconnect wifi and dash to the players, you can use the slice feature reputedly until you feel like you’ve done 200 damage.
  3. Reconnect wifi and you’ll be teleported back and granted the kill.

Here’s a video of the glitch in action:

There’s no information on whether the Kinetic Blade will be in Fortnite next season which releases in the middle of June.

However, if it gets the same treatment as the Shockwave Hammer, expect there to be a similar item in the loot pool with the release of season three.

Transformers Optimus Prime Fortnite Skin Leaked โ€“ Chapter 4 Season 3 Release Date

A new leak on Reddit showcases a leaked Transformers Optimus Prime skin in Fortnite. Here’s everything we know about the latest collaboration.

For the past few months, a number of leaks have emerged regarding the future of Fortnite Battle Royale. A few weeks ago, popular leakers including Hypex and ShiinaBR leaked when a new chapter of Fortnite would be coming.

According to a trustworthy source, chapter 5 of Fortnite will be released at the end of the year. We’ve had other leaks, too.

Season themes have been leaked months in advance along with the skins players can expect to see in the new Battle Pass.

Prior to the launch of Fortnite chapter 4 season 3, we knew we would be getting Eren Jaeger in the Battle Pass along with other skins including Stray (Drift 2.0).

Leaks haven’t stopped, they’ve only increased over the past few weeks. Leakers stated that chapter 4 season 3 would be tropical-themed and the latest leak all but confirms it along with a new collaboration this time with Transformers.

Transformers in Fortnite

Epic Games have continued to build their metaverse over the past few weeks. The first collaboration with Marvel back in chapter 1 season 4 has led to Epic Games bringing in characters from movies, games, the music industry, and more.

Now, it’s all but confirmed Transformers will be in Fortnite according to a new leaked image that was posted on Reddit.

The leaked image confirms Fortnite chapter 4 season 3 will be tropical-themed and leaked one of the Battle Pass skins, Optimus Prime.

Optimus Prime Transformers Skin in Fortnite

A Transformers x Fortnite collaboration seemed unlikely. There were no prior leaks suggesting a collaboration would be imminent.

With season three being tropical-themed, it makes sense that a Transformers x Fortnite collaboration would be released with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts releasing in cinemas on June 7th.

The Transformers Fortnite chapter 4 season 3 Battle Pass skin is Optimus Prime. For those of you that want to see the leaked image of the Optimus Prime skin, we’ve included it below.

Optimus Prime Fortnite Skin

As you can see in the image above, there are a couple of other skins that can be seen including a tiger skin in the background.

With the new season of Fortnite just a couple of weeks away, expect more leaks to surface. We’ll cover them all here on Fortnite Insider so stay tuned!

All Leaked Fortnite Skins v24.40 โ€“ Miles Morales, Spiderman 2099

We have a large number of new Fortnite skins that have been leaked from today’s v24.40 Fortnite patch update. Here’s a look at all of the new cosmetics including the new Miles Morales and Spiderman 2099 outfits.

In every major Fortnite update, Epic Games add new Fortnite cosmetics that’ll be released in the item shop at a later date.

At the peak of Fortnite’s popularity, Epic would add a large number of new cosmetics in each major patch release. However, for the most part, that hasn’t been the case for a couple of years.

In most recent updates, Epic has only added three or four new skins, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with today’s v24.40 release.

We already knew a Miles Morales Spiderverse skin would be coming to the game, which has now been leaked, but nobody expected the sheer number of new skins that have been added to the files today.

Here’s a look at all the new cosmetics that were added in the v24.40 Fortnite update.

Miles Morales Spiderverse and Spiderman 2099 Fortnite Skins

A few days ago, Epic Games all but confirmed the rumors, a Spider-Verse Fortnite skin would be coming with Miles Morales being added to the item shop.

The skin has now been added to the files and leaked by data miners. Data miners have also leaked a Spiderman 2099 skin, both of which can be seen below.

New Fortnite Update Today 24.40 (3.90) Patch Notes โ€“ 17th May 2023

Epic Games will be releasing a brand new Fortnite update today, 24.40 (3.90). Here are the early patch notes for today’s release.

Two weeks ago, Epic Games released the third major update for Fortnite chapter 4 season 2. The update included another Star Wars collaboration with new cosmetics being made available to purchase from the item shop.

We also had a new set of quests for the collaboration called “Find The Force”. Players earned Galactic Reputation upon completing these quests which provided players with the chance to unlock free cosmetic rewards.

Players could also purchase the premium reward track that provides additional Star Wars-themed cosmetics including Darth Maul and two different Storm Trooper outfits.

Since then we’ve only had a patch release that addressed stability issues that were introduced with the release of the v24.30 patch update.

However, we knew we would be getting a new Fortnite update today, 24.40 (3.90). It’s the penultimate update of the season with chapter 4 season 3 expected to release on June 9th if there aren’t any unforeseen delays.

With that said, we know what we can expect to see in today’s 24.40 update, and we’ve listed everything we know so far about today’s update below.

Fortnite Server Scheduled Downtime Today

As we’ve come to expect, Epic Games will take down the Fortnite servers today (16th May, 2023), in order to prepare them for the 24.40 update.

The Fortnite Status Twitter account announced that server downtime will start at 3 AM ET / 8 AM BST with matchmaking being disabled shortly beforehand, likely thirty minutes prior.

As usual, Epic hasn’t announced how long the servers will be down. However, we’d expect them to be down for at least a couple of hours, which means the servers should be back online at roughly 5 AM ET / 10 AM on May 17th, 2023.

Here’s the tweet from the official Fortnite Status Twitter account:

UPDATE: The v24.40 update has been delayed.

May 17th Fortnite 24.40 Update Today

We’ll update this article when the servers are officially back online.

Fortnite Update 3.90 (24.40) Patch Notes – 17th May 2023

Ranked Play

We already knew the 24.40 Fortnite update would include the release of the first Fortnite Ranked mode. Epic teased the release of ranked in a tweet and later released a blog post with further information.

The 3.90 (24.40) update includes ranked for both the normal Battle Royale and the Zero Build game modes. There are a total of eight ranks which are listed below:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Elite
  • Champion
  • Unreal

Here’s a look at the rank icons:

Fortnite Ranked Mode Icons

The release of Ranked means the popular Arena mode will be permanently disabled once the servers are back online once v24.40 has been released.

Epic has also announced materials caps will be decreased from 999 to 500 with today’s update.

Fortnite X Spider-Verse Collaboration – Miles Morales Skin

Fortnite data miners leaked that a Fortnite x Spider-Verse collaboration would be coming at some point in the future.

It looks like that collaboration will go live at some point in the next week. If leaks are correct, we should see 2 skins make their way into the item shop to purchase along with the release of new Web shooters.

Miles Morales Fortnite Skin

Like the Star Wars collaboration, the Spider-Verse collaboration will include challenges that players can complete, but there’s no word on if any free cosmetic rewards will be available.

A tweet teasing the collaboration all but confirms that there will be a Miles Morales Fortnite skin, again, something that was leaked months ago by data miners.

Fortnite x Spider-Verse Collaboration

We can expect the usual leaks from today’s 24.40 (3.90) Fortnite update including the June Crew skin, event leaks if there’ll be an event to conclude the season, cosmetic leaks, and the final set of quests being leaked.

We’ll be covering everything from today’s new Fortnite update over here, so be sure to head there during downtime.

Fortnite Ranked Mode Coming Soon โ€“ Confirmed Release Date

Epic Games have teased the release of a Fortnite ranked game mode. Here’s everything we know so far including a release date.

With the new season of Fortnite just a few weeks away and with just one or two major updates left to be released before then, players have been wondering what’s in store for the game for the rest of the season.

Originally, players were expecting a first-person mode to release with the launch of chapter four season two. However, the leaks were incorrect and there’s still no new information regarding the highly sought-after game mode.

Fortnite First Person Mode

However, we’ve seen the release of UEFN which will only improve in the coming months, but players are always looking forward to the next major Fortnite release.

Epic Games decided to send the Fortnite player base into a frenzy with a teaser posted on social media that all but confirms a Fortnite ranked game mode will be coming soon.

Here’s what we know about the Fortnite ranked mode including a release date.

Fortnite Ranked Mode

Epic Games posted a short teaser video on social media which includes a number of different icons. The caption for the post is:

“A new way to grab the Victory Royale is coming… Will you rise through the ranks?”.

The tweet all but confirms a ranked mode will be coming to Fortnite Battle Royale. Some of the popular leaders are suggesting that this could be for a new driving mode that was leaked from the v24.30 files.

Driving Mode Fortnite

Based on the wording of the tweet, there’s a chance there could be a ranked Fortnite driving mode. Earning a Victory Royale in Fortnite is the same, regardless of whether it’s ranked on not.

That suggests the way the caption is worded points towards a Fortnite-ranked driving mode. There’s also a chance that the popular Arena mode could be getting an overhaul.

With Activision finding success with the Call of Duty ranked multiplayer and more recently, the Warzone ranked playlist, there’s a chance this is Epic’s response to those game modes.

For those curious, here are all the Ranks that were teased in the trailer:

Ranked Fortnite Mode Release Date

We’ve seen a handful of articles stating there’s no official release date for the Fortnite Ranked Mode or that it won’t be available until the new season.

However, based on the in-game news feed, the Fortnite ranked mode will release on May 16th, 2023. That falls on a Tuesday when the next major Fortnite update, v24.40, will release.

Here’s an image from the in-game news feed that confirms the Fortnite Ranked mode release date:

Fortnite Ranked Game Mode Release Date

It’s unlikely Epic Games will change the release date of the Fortnite ranked mode, but if they do, we’ll update this article.

Let us know in the comments section below if you’re looking forward to seeing the ranked mode live in-game.
