Epic Games announced when server downtime will begin for the release of Fortnite chapter 4 season 3. Here’s everything you need to know.
We’ve known for a few weeks that Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 was scheduled to end on June 9th, 2023 with the new season releasing on the same day.
Most of the items and features that are coming with the release of chapter 4 season 3 were leaked weeks ago by an insider.
It’s likely the reason behind Epic Games deciding to reveal all of the skins that’ll be available in the Battle Pass next season ahead of time. Typically, Epic reveals the skins in the cinematic trailer that’s released as soon as downtime begins for a new season.
However, even when Epic does showcase the Battle Pass skins ahead of time, it’s not each one that’ll be available during the season. With all the skins being leaked already, it made sense for Epic to officially reveal each one.
For those that missed it, here’s a list of all the outfits that’ll be available:
- Era
- Trace
- Rian
- Lorenzo
- Mariposa
- Relik
- Optimus Prime
- Purradise Meowoscles
Not only were the skins leaked but features too. We knew we would be getting raptors that players can ride, a mythic drum shotgun, the ability to grind wood vines in the jungle, a level pistol, new consumables, and much more.
Epic released the cinematic trailer for chapter 4 season 3 much earlier than we’ve seen with previous seasons. The trailer debuted at the Summer Fest Games event a couple of hours ago.
As expected, the trailer confirms some of the previous leaks including the rideable Raptors, a Kinetic Boomerang item, a Cybertron cannon, and much more.
If you’d like to read all of the new items and features to expect in the new season, you can check out our full early patch notes over here.
As you’d expect with the release of any major update, Epic Games will have to take the Fortnite servers offline to prepare them for the new content. The release of the chapter 4 season 3 update is no different.
Fortnite Scheduled Server Maintenance Downtime – June 9th 2023
Epic always announce when the Fortnite servers will go down for scheduled maintenance hours before they’re taken down. This time around, Epic made the announcement earlier.
As always, the announcement was made on the official Fortnite Status Twitter account. The Fortnite servers will do down for scheduled maintenance today, June 9th, 2023.
The only difference this time around is instead of the servers going down at 4 AM ET, the servers will go down at 2 AM ET. However, matchmaking will be disabled shortly before, likely thirty minutes prior to the servers going down.
Here’s the official tweet from the Fortnite Status Twitter account:
When Will the Fortnite Servers Be Back Online?
Although Epic announce when the Fortnite servers will go down for maintenance, they never state how long they’ll be down for. However, with a normal update, the servers are usually down for two hours.
As this is an update for a brand new season, we’d expect the game to be offline longer than a usual update. Based on what we’ve seen from the release of previous seasons, we’d expect the Fortnite servers to be back up at roughly 5 AM or 6 AM on June 9th, 2023.
Are the Fortnite Servers Up Right Now? Status
We’ll update this article when as soon as the Fortnite servers are back online. When they are back up, there’s a good chance Epic might deploy a queue.
