Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Patch Notes – 3.68 Release

Here are the official patch notes for the Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 (3.68) update released on 18th September 2022.

We finally have a new season of Fortnite with the release of today’s 3.68 patch update. The Chapter 3 season 4 patch notes have been released by Epic Games.

As expected, there are exact details regarding changes to weapons, but we do know snipers have had a buff in today’s 3.68 Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 update.

There are two new weapons too, the EvoChrome Shotgun and the EvoChrome Burst Rifle. A few weapons have returned from the vault including the Lever Action Shotgun, which can now be reloaded whilst aiming with it.

Chrome keys have been added that provide access to two different vaults. The low-security vaults require one chrome key whilst the high-security vaults require two but you’ll be rewarded with more loot.

In place of the Port-A-Fort that was added back in chapter one, Epic has introduced the Port-A-Bunker. It’ll create a 1×1 structure featuring metal walls, a door, and a ramp as well as tired around the fort.

Here are the full patch notes for the 3.68 Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 update.

PHASE THROUGH WALLS

Fortnite Chrome Wall

Not even wood, stone, brick, or metal is a match for Chrome. An enemy built a structure for defense? Throw a Chrome Splash at the walls to make the walls penetrable — jump right through the building and get the drop on your opponent!

Fortnite Chrome Splash

THE BEST SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE

Fortnite Chrome-ified

You can’t beat it, so be it: throw down a Chrome Splash to Chrome-ify yourself. You’ll be pure Chrome for a limited time, meaning you’ll be immune to fire damage and… become a Blob when sprinting. But don’t let this bulbous form fool you. While Blobbed, you’ll move faster, be immune to fall damage, and gain the ability to air dash. Dash into any building piece to Chrome-ify it then phase through it!

HOME SWEET CHROME

Fortnite Herald's Sanctum

Chrome’s not only taking over points of interest, it’s built a brand new one. Ascend Herald’s Sanctum (near the abandoned Sanctuary) and stand atop this tower of honorable and hexagonal foundations.

A NEW KIND OF HIGH GROUND

Fortnite Cloudy Condos

In their fear of Chrome, some Island locations are seeking “safety” in the air — most notably Condo Canyon. Now called Cloudy Condos, attack from above in this expanding POI. One way to get up there? Use a D-Launcher, available in different places on the Island to help you gain higher ground.

BETTER WITH AGE

Chrome’s introduction caused the creation of the EvoChrome Shotgun and EvoChrome Burst Rifle. Find these weapons from Chrome Chests, then see their rarity increase the more you damage opponents with them. Take ‘em from Uncommon to Mythic!

BRING ME SNIPER LOVE

Fortnite Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper

The Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper, which debuted in Chapter 3 Season 1: Flipped.

Speaking of weapons, Sniper weapons across the board (including ones still vaulted) have had their damage and their headshot multipliers increased. Expert marksmen and trickshotters rejoice, because now one shot could be all it takes to send someone back to the Lobby. Keep your head on a swivel and — if your aim is on-point — one-shot opponents with certain Snipers once again. (Even in Zero Build!)

  • Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper – damage and headshot multiplier increased
  • Hunting Rifle – damage and headshot multiplier increased
  • Automatic Sniper Rifle – damage and headshot multiplier increased
  • Lever Action Rifle – damage and headshot multiplier increased

KEYS TO SUCCESS

Fortnite Vault Keys

Becoming Chrome isn’t the only way to unlock your potential. There’s a good chance you’ll come across Keys on the Island — use them to open Vaults containing loot! Low-Security Vaults require one Key to open, while High-Security Vaults require two (for the reward of more items!). Where to find this locked loot? After collecting one or more Keys, you’ll see keyhole signs on your map to help you out.

BUNKER DOWN

Fortnite Port-A-Bunker

Under assault from enemies? Deploy potent cover fast with a Port-A-Bunker, taking the place of the Port-A-Fort this Season. Throw down the Port-A-Bunker to create an instant 1×1 structure featuring reinforced metal walls, a versatile ramp, doors, and defensive tires to bounce away would-be-invaders — no building required!

All Vaulted & Unvaulted Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 – Lever Action Shotgun Returns

Here’s the full list of all the weapons that have been vaulted or unvaulted with the launch of Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 (v22.00).

The Fortnite servers are currently down for scheduled maintenance in order to prepare them for the launch of Fortnite chapter 3 season 4.

The new season introduced some changes to the east side of the map, all new cosmetics in the Battle Pass including Spider-Gwen, and some new items and weapons.

With new weapons being added to the game at the start of a new season of Fortnite, Epic Games will also look to shake up the loot pool from the previous season by vaulting and unvaulting weapons.

Epic also do this during wild weeks before a new season ends, likely to gauge the reaction of the player base when they remove or add certain weapons and items back into the loot pool.

Although we’re currently waiting for the servers to come back up to experience what Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 has to offer, we do know the weapons that have either been vaulted or unvaulted. Let’s get into the list of changes to the loot pool for the v22.00 update.

All Unvaulted Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4

The first thing players are looking out for when a new season begins is whether the pump shotgun has been unvaulted. Unfortunately, it’s still not in the game, but the Lever Action Shotgun has made a return this season.

Here’s a list of all the unvaulted weapons in Fortnite chapter 3 season 4:

  • Lever Action Shotgun
  • Rapid-Fire SMG
  • Suppressed SMG
  • Hunter Bolt Action Sniper

There are the weapons that have been vaulted in season 4:

  • Kamehameha
  • Nimbus Cloud
  • E-11 blaster
  • Darth Vader’s lightsaber
  • Charge SMG
  • Two Shot Shotgun

There’s a chance there could be other weapons and items that have either been vaulted or unvaulted with the launch of the v22.00 season four update. We’ll update this if we find other weapons that need to be added to the list above.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Map Revealed – All New Changes and POIs

The Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 map has been revealed. There are four major shake-ups to the season three map including changes to The Joneses’ location.

One of the complaints players have had with Fortnite for the past couple of years has been the lack of map changes, especially when a new season launches.

In chapter one, not only did we get a handful of major map changes with the launch of a new season of Fortnite, Epic also pushed out smaller map changes in the content or patch updates throughout the season.

With the launch of season three on June 4th, players were expecting some substantial map changes, but there weren’t as many as we would have expected.

Now that Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 is just a couple of hours away from going live, data miners have leaked the map for the new season, and we do have some larger changes on the east side of the map.

Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 3 Map

During downtime, data miners look through the new downloadable files and will leak anything that they find interesting. At the start of each season, the map for the new season is leaked and the release of Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 is no different.

Here’s a look at the map for season four:

Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 map

Sometimes, it can be hard to tell what exactly has changed from images like the one above. The only noticeable map change appears to be chrome spreading around the east side of the map.

Thankfully, we have another image that provides us with the names of new POIs on the map along as the locations that have had a name change after being redesigned.

Here are four POIs that have been highlighted:

  • Lustrous Lagoon
  • Herald’s Sanctum
  • Shimmering Shine
  • Fort Jonesy

Map Changes in Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 3

There are other changes to the Fortnite map in season 4 including changes to Condo Canyon which is now called Cloudy Condos. We’ll need to compare the map to the previous season, but it looks like only the ease side of the map has changed.

Yes, Brie Larson is Now in Fortnite as Paradigm

The Fortnite Battle Pass and cinematic trailers for Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 reveal what’s in store for players in the new season including the arrival of Brie Larson.

Epic Games are known for the collaborations that they bring to Fortnite. From the very first collaboration, Marvel Avengers, in Fortnite chapter one season four to last season Darth Vader and Indiana Jones collaborations.

Epic won’t stop growing their metaverse and we already have evidence of that with the release of the Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 Battle Pass images.

As expected, Spider-Gwen is one of the eight skins available in the Battle Pass this season, likely unlockable in the middle of the season.

A couple of seasons ago, players could unlock The Foundation skin from the Battle Pass which turned out to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The actor was revealed as the foundation of the season-ending events, and we have another celebrity joining him in the Fortnite world, Brie Larson.

Is Brie Larson in Fortnite?

Yes, Brie Larson is now in Fortnite. There were rumors Brie Larson would voice one of the characters involved in the Fortnite storyline, Paradigm. When Paradigm first appeared in one of the live events, players instantly recognized her voice, though there was no official confirmation.

However, we now have the confirmation that Brie Larson is Paradigm in the Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 cinematic trailer. At the 26-second mark of the trailer, Paradigm is shown without her helmet, confirming Brie Larson in the Fortnite world.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch the trailer, here’s Brie Larson as Paradigm as Fortnite:

Is Brie Larson in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4

Here’s one of her skin styles without the Paradigm armor:

She’ll definitely play a significant role this season with her character the only one to make it out of the chrome attack from The Herald.

So far, we haven’t had Dwayne Johnson appear after the season in which he made his entrance into the Fortnite metaverse, and Brie Larson might have the same fate.

What we do know is Epic Games will continue to bring in A-list celebrities for roles in the Fortnite universe.

Are the Fortnite Servers Down Today? When Will They Be Back Up? How Long Are They Down For? Server Status 18 September

Players are wondering if the Fortnite servers are down today (September 18th, 2022). They’ll be down for scheduled maintenance and here’s when they should be back online with an updated server status to keep track of.

It’s almost been three and a half months since the release of Fortnite chapter 3 season 3 and we’re finally getting a new season. Although there was no live event to conclude the current season, we’re at least moving away from what is in my opinion the worst season of the current chapter.

Thankfully, Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 goes live today and hopefully, the new season will launch with substantial map changes, shaking up the loot pool more, and overall have more content than what we saw in the previous season.

A few weeks ago, leakers including Hypex and ShiinaBR leaked some of the Battle Pass skins that would be in chapter 3 season 4 including Goth Meowscles and Gwen Stacy skins.

We’ve also had some teasers as to what we can expect in the season during the launch of the SypherPK skin. On Sypher’s stream announcing the launch of his skin, you can see parts of the map in a chrome color, no sweat balloons scattered around the map, a change to the Joneses POI, and chrome tornados.

As you’d expect from a new season, we’ll have new weapons and items, a new Battle Pass, and more. We’ll be covering everything Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 over here, so be sure to keep checking back on that page.

In the meantime, players have been searching whether the Fortnite servers are down today 18 September 2022 and if they are, when they will be back online from scheduled maintenance. Here’s everything you need to know including an up-to-date Fortnite server status check.

Fortnite Server Status 18 Sept 2022

Is Fortnite Down Right Now? September 18th, 2022

Yes, Fortnite is down today on 18th September 2022. The Fortnite servers are down for scheduled maintenance. Epic Games put out a tweet announcing when the servers will go down for maintenance.

With the v22.00 update going live, Epic always take the servers down in order to prepare them for a new patch. The Fortnite servers were scheduled to go down at 2 AM ET / 7 AM BST. Here’s the tweet from the Fortnite status tweet confirming the downtime:

Is Fortnite Down Right Now September 18 2022

When Will The Fortnite Servers Be Back Up?

When server maintenance is announced, Epic never states how long the servers will be down for. With a new season launching, we can expect the Fortnite servers to be down for longer than a normal mid-season update.

We’d expect downtime of at least three hours which means the earliest they’ll be back online is at 5 AM ET / 10 AM BST. There’s a chance it could be longer if they run into any issues and we have seen downtime of more than five hours with the launch of a new season.

Fortnite Server Status Today – 18 September

We’ll be constantly updating our Fortnite server status today (18th September 2022) below. Be sure to check back frequently as we’ll be updating the server status every couple of minutes so you’ll know exactly when the servers are back online.

In the meantime, be sure to check this page as we’ll be covering everything new with the launch of Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 as well leaks during the current downtime.

Fortnite 22.00 Update Today – Early Patch Notes & Download File Size (September 18 2022)

There’s a brand new Fortnite update releasing today (18th September 2022). Here is everything you need to know about the 22.00 patch release including early patch notes, the size of the download, and more.

Fortnite chapter 3 season 3 launched more than three months ago on June 4th, 2022. It’s been a long season and for the most part, there wasn’t a lot of new content that was added to the game.

On launch day, the response to season three wasn’t great. There weren’t as many map changes as expected nor any new content in general. We saw the return of ballers and had some smaller map changes here and there.

However, the biggest changes in season three came from the Dragon Ball x Fortnite collaboration with two new POIs being added to the map along with new mythic items, challenges, rewards, and cosmetics.

In my opinion, the season overall has been pretty lackluster and there was no live event to end the season. The storyline for Fortnite seems to be non-existent once again even with the story-related quests that were released throughout the season.

Hopefully, Epic Games have more in store for us with the launch of the 22.00 Fortnite update today which sees the release of Fortnite chapter 3 season 4. We’ve had some leaks ahead of time as expected, so here’s what you can expect from the Fortnite chapter 3 season 3 22.00 update today including early patch notes.

Early Patch Notes for 22.00 Fortnite Update Today – 18 September

As is the case before the start of every new season of Fortnite, there have been numerous leaks. As you’ll be well aware, each season of Fortnite starts with a new Battle Pass full of cosmetics including skins, emotes, gliders, pickaxes, and more.

We know that there will be a Spider-Man Gwen Stacy skin available in the Battle Pass along with a Goth Meowscles style skin. We know what the Goth Meowscles skin will look like thanks to the skin survey Epic released.

Goth Meowscles Skin in Fortnite Season 4

Although we don’t know how exactly the Gwen Stacy skin will look, we have an idea based on the teaser that was released. Popular data miner Hypex pointed out that we’ll likely get a glitchy cel-shading for the outfit.

Gwen Stacy in Fortnite Skin

Although we don’t know the name for one of the Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 Battle Pass skins, one of the teasers for the season showcased a chrome hand. Based on that and from what we’ve seen from the survey skins, we can expect the skin below to be one of the Battle Pass skins:

Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 Battle Pass Chrome Skin

Popular steamer SypherPK revealed his Icon Series skin that’ll be coming to the game in a few days’ time. In the showcase, we got to see some new content including a new weapon. We don’t know what the stats for it will be, nor do we know the name, but it looks like another scoped AR will make its way to the game as seen in the image below:

New Fortnite 22.00 Update Weapon

Other teasers we got to see from the SypherPk skin reveal include chrome props, changes to existing POIs, floating platforms, and no swear balloons scattered around the Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 map.

Oh, and it also looks like we’ll be getting some chrome tornados hitting the map at random times during a match.

How Big/Large is The Download File Size For The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 22.00 Update?

As expected, Epic Games announced that the 22.00 Fortnite update today will be larger than normal updates which are obvious considering it’s a new season and is something Epic has stated in the past.

We’ll update this as soon as we can with how big the download file size is for the September 18th, 2022, Fortnite update for each platform. Be sure to let us know in the comments section below what you’d like to see added in the new season. Be sure to click this page and keep checking back for all the latest news, leaks, and guides heading into the new season. We’ll be covering all things Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 during the downtime for the 22.00 Fortnite update today along with after and throughout the season.

Is There a Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Live Event? What Time is the 2022 Season 4 Lead Up

We have a confirmed release date and time for Fortnite chapter 3 season 4. However, players are now wondering if there’s a live event for Fortnite chapter 3 season 3 and if so, what time it’s scheduled to take place.

Epic Games confirmed the release date for Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 yesterday through a tweet on the official Fortnite status Twitter account. The new season will launch tomorrow once downtime ends with the servers expected to go down at 2 AM ET.

Although we don’t get them as often as we used to, Epic Games schedule live events either during or near the end of a season. Before season two ended, Epic help the “Collision” event.

During the Fortnite live event, players were tasked with destroying the IO forces in a combat ship. The event concluded with Jonesy and The Visitor fist-bumping each other which then led to downtime whilst Epic prepared the servers for the launch of a new season.

With the announcement of the new season, players are now wondering if there will be a Fortnite live event to conclude chapter 3 season 3 to head into season 4. Here’s everything you need to know.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3/4 Live Event

Recently, when a Fortnite live event concludes, the game is no longer playable until the launch of a new season. For that reason, players have been searching for whether there’s a Fortnite chapter 3 season 3/4 live event.

Unfortunately, there will be no live event to conclude season 3 to head into season 4. We expected this as there were no event files added in the final update of the season, v21.51.

Live Event Season 4 Fortnite Time

Players still want to know what time Fortnite season 4 starts as there have been a couple of occasions where the season starts with a single-player live event although this seems extremely unlikely.

Chapter 3 season 4 should go live three hours after downtime begins, so expect to be able to play the new season at roughly 5 AM ET.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Paradise Revealed – Chrome-themed New Teasers

Epic Games have confirmed the name of Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 along with the theme of the new season through TikTok teasers.

We’re approaching the end of the current season of Fortnite, and players have been waiting for Epic Games to release any information regarding the new season, chapter three season four.

There won’t be a live event to conclude season 3, but we know when the season will end. Chapter 3 season 3 will end on Saturday, 17th September, with the new season scheduled to release next Sunday.

A couple of weeks ago, we got our first leaks for the new season with popular Fortnite leakers including Hypex and ShiinaBR stating that Gwen Stacy and Goth Meowscles will be in the season 4 Battle Pass. If you missed those leaks, you can find more information here.

Epic Games usually start posting teaser images and videos at the start of the week when the new season is scheduled to begin. However, we’re getting teasers earlier this time around.

Several strings for Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 and videos have been posted on social media. Here’s all the Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 teasers so far along with the confirmed name of the new season.

Fortnite Season 4 Paradise Name Confirmed

In the past, season names were confirmed when the storyline trailer was released during scheduled maintenance. However, Epic has decided to confirm this a week prior to season 4 going live.

The video teasers that have been posted on all the official Fortnite social media channels end with the name logo of season 4 which also confirms the name for the new season, Paradise. Here’s a look at the logo:

Fortnite Paradise Season 4

Fortnite Chrome Chapter 3 Season 4 Teasers

It looks like we’ll have a chrome-themed season For Fortnite: Paradise. That’s based on the teaser captions we’ve had so far, all of which we’ve included below:

  • It consumes everything
  • Chrome will consume all, Chrome will be all.
  • Consume everything.

So far, we’ve had three different teaser videos released alongside a Fortnite Paradise video being added to the Epic Games website. Here’s a look at each teaser video:

A couple of weeks ago, a teaser image was released but many assumed it was fake. Based on teasers and captions mentioning Chrome, it seems like the teaser image was legitimate. Here’s a look at the Chrome teaser image that was leaked:

There will likely be a handful of teasers and leaks being released in the next few days and we’ll be covering them all here on Fortnite Insider. Be sure to check back to get the latest scope on Fortnite Season 4: Paradise.

Fortnite 21.51 Update Today Early Patch Notes – 7 September 2022 Server Maintenance Downtime, Download Size

Epic Games have finally announced the final update of Fortnite chapter 3 season 3, 21.51. Here is everything you need to know about the update from the server maintenance downtime to the download size.

It’s been just over three months since Epic Games released Fortnite chapter 3 season 3. It didn’t seem to get off to as good of a start in comparison to season two. However, there was more buzz around season two with the building mechanic being removed from the main game mode for two weeks.

This season is also longer than the previous but we did get a major update that made the season feel like a new one. When the Dragon Ball x Fortnite collaboration went live with challenges, two mythic items, and map changes, many felt it was what the season needed.

That hasn’t stopped players from wanting the season to end as is the case in the final couple of weeks for every season of Fortnite. However, we have one final patch update before then.

Epic Games have announced the next and final update of the season, 21.51, which is scheduled to go live today (7 September 2022). Here is everything you need to know about the 21.51 Fortnite update.

Fortnite Server Maintenance Downtime Time – September 7, 2022

The release of a new patch update in Fortnite results in the servers being taken down for scheduled maintenance and today’s 21.51 patch is no different.

As usual, Epic Games released a tweet on the Fortnite Status account with details regarding when the Fortnite servers will go down on 7th September 2022. The servers will go down at 4 AM ET (9 AM BST) with matchmaking being disabled thirty minutes prior.

Fortnite Time Server Maintenance 21.51 September 7 2022

Players complained that they were kicked out of their game a few minutes earlier than the planned time for matchmaking being disabled, so we’d recommend not entering a game forty-five minutes prior to the servers going down.

When Will the Servers Be Back Online?

We get this question with the release of every new update. Epic never state when the Fortnite servers will be back online, but they’re usually only down for an hour or two. We’d expect the servers to be back online at 6 AM ET (11 AM BST). We’ll keep you updated with the latest and update this when the servers are back up.

Fortnite 21.51 Update Patch Notes

Before a major update, we usually know what to expect thanks to leakers. However, we don’t know what Epic will be adding in today’s 21.51 update. However, it’s highly unlikely that there will be any cosmetics added in this update.

We should either see event files being added and leaked from the 21.51 Fortnite update or we’ll see some challenges and smaller-scale events taking place on the map. As always, we’ll be posting any news and leaks from the latest patch release.

21.51 Fortnite File Download Size

We don’t expect the 21.51 Fortnite update to be large, but we’ll update the article with the download size for each platform as soon as the patch has been released.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass Skins Leaked – Goth Meowscles, Gwen Spider-Man

Two of the upcoming Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 Battle Pass skins have been leaked two weeks prior to the new season launching.

We’re two weeks away from the launch of a new season of Fortnite, chapter 3 season 4. The Epic Games website has an end date for the current season, season 3, as September 17th.

That means season three is scheduled to end on a Saturday with season 4 likely to launch a day later on Sunday. However, we haven’t had any confirmation from Epic Games, and the date on the Battle Pass usually isn’t accurate.

However, we should be getting teasers for Fortnite season 4 shortly, and they’ll usually confirm either the end date of the current season or the start date for the new season. There’s also no information regarding a live event.

We do know, however, that there will be one final update before the end of the season with the v21.51 update expected to go live on Tuesday 6th September 2022. If there’s an event to end the current season, we’ll know when the final update releases.

Before the start of each season of Fortnite, information about what to expect from the season including what skins will be in the Battle Pass gets leaked ahead of time. Before the launch of season three, leaks revealed that both Darth Vader and Indiana Jones would be part of the Battle Pass.

It looks like history has repeated itself with two of the Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 Battle Pass skins being leaked. Here’s a look at one of those skins along with information regarding the second.

Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 3 Battle Pass Skins Leak

Gwen Stacy Fortnite Season 4 Skin

On September 1st, we had our first leak for Fortnite chapter 3 season 4. Popular leaker, MidaRado, stated that Gwen Stacy would be a skin in the season four Battle Pass. This was later confirmed by sources close to popular leaker and data miner ShiinaBR.

That means we should be getting a Miles Morales Fortnite skin later on in the season that’ll be available through the item shop.

Goth Mewoscles Fortnite Skin

Fortnite released another set of survey skins and one of them was a Goth Meowscles outfit. The Goth Meowscles skin has been confirmed by leakers to be part of the chapter 3 season 4 Battle Pass.

Thanks to the survey, we know what the skin looks like and we’ve included it below:

Goth Meowscles Skin in Fortnite Season 4

There should be more leaks to come and we’ll have all the latest on the build-up to the new season as well as any leaks that are released from the next patch update.
