With Christmas fast approaching, players are wondering when the Christmas Fortnite Winterfest event for 2022 will start. Here’s all the information we have so far including a start date and some leaks from data miners.

It’s been a week since the release of Fortnite chapter 4 season 1. For the most part, the new chapter and season have been well received by the Fortnite player base.

Now that players are accustomed to everything the new season offers, including the new perks system and the set of new items, everyone is turning their attention to the Fortnite 2022 Christmas event.

The first Christmas event Epic Games released for Fortnite Battle Royale was called “14 days of Fortnite”. Since then, we’ve had Winterfest events along with an Operation Snowdown event.

Players were unhappy with the Operation Snowdown event which followed on from the first Winterfest event for a couple of reasons. The biggest issue with the fact that there was no cabin for players to enter to open a daily reward.

Instead, players could only claim free Christmas-themed cosmetic rewards by completing challenges whereas Winterfest events allowed players to unlock free cosmetics each day by opening a present in a cabin along with the challenge cosmetic rewards.

Thankfully, Epic Games re-introduced the Winterfest event last year which went down extremely well with the community. In fact, the servers could handle the sheer amount of players looking to log in to open their present at 10 AM ET / 3 PM ET each day.

Every time a new present was available, the servers would go down for at least half an hour. That led to Epic changing the time that a new present became available to open.

Each event has provided players with the chance to get their hands on event-exclusive rewards including two free Christmas-themed Fortnite skins. Last year, Players could grab the Krisabelle and Frozen Peely skins.

Other cosmetics that were available included two pickaxes, two wraps, a glider, contrail, emote, lobby track, loading screen, emoticon, spray, and a banner. Here’s a look at the two skins for last year if you didn’t participate in the event:

When last year’s announcement to introduce the Christmas event was made, it also announced the Spider-Man: No Way Home collaboration which included the release of another Spider-Man skin along with an MJ outfit.

This year, we could see the My Hero Academia collaboration announced based on the leaks we’ve seen on a start date from leakers. However, we’ll only know when the new update releases before Epic Games employees go on holiday until the new year.

Although we’ll have to wait until the new update to find out exactly what’s in store for us in the Winterfest Fortnite 2022 event, we do have a rough start date along with some leaks about the event including an early look at the cabin.

When Does Fortnite Winterfest 2022 Start?

Last year, Epic Games released an update for the Christmas event on a Tuesday but were tight-lipped about when it would start. Two days later on Thursday, they announced that the event would start in a couple of hours.

Based on the release schedule for updates, it’s safe to assume the next update will release on Tuesday, 13th December 2022. However, we’d expect The 2022 Winterfest Fortnite event to start on Thursday, 15th December 2022.

Again, this hasn’t been confirmed yet. The 2020 event started on a Friday, so we could see Winterfest begin on the exact same date as last year. We won’t have a confirmed release date until Epic Games release a blog post unless there’s information data miners leak from the next patch release.

Die Hard x Fortnite Collaboration

The Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, Donald Mustard, likes to post teasers for upcoming collaborations and features that’ll arrive in Fortnite in the future.

He recently posted a Die Hard movie gift he received from a friend. There were already rumors a Die Hard x Fortnite collaboration would be coming for the 2022 Christmas event which seems all but confirmed at this point.

Winterfest Fortnite 2022 Christmas Event Leaks

Data miners have already leaked a handful of the changes, features and cosmetics we can expect to see during Fortnite Winterfest 2022. Each year, we’ll see Christmas-themed items unvaulted for the duration of the Christmas event.

This year is no different with the snowball launcher, sneaky snowman, presents, and chiller grenades returning from the vault.

Planes were supposed to return to Fortnite in chapter 3 season 4. However, the return of planes was delayed. Based on the leaks, it looks like they’ll be making a return for Fortnite Winterfest 2022.

We also know the Winterfest Cabin will be turning along with the daily presents. The inside of the cabin has also been leaked which you can take a look at below:

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Marvel “The Hulk” x Fortnite collaboration including the release date and an in-game look at the cosmetics.

It’s only been a few days since Epic Games launched Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 but players are already looking forward to all the upcoming collaborations.

The Fortnite chapter 3 finale event concluded with a cinematic trailer that showcased a number of skins that would be coming to the game, some of which are in this season’s Battle Pass.

However, one of the skins that were teased which aren’t in the Battle Pass is The Hulk skin. The cinematic trailer shows The Hulk on a dirt bike and players have been wanting to get their hands on the skin ever since.

Thanks to data miners, we have more information on the Hulk x Fortnite crossover including a release date for the skin as well as what the cosmetics will look like in the game.

Hulk Fortnite Skin Release Date

The Hulk outfit has been decrypted a day earlier than the leaked release date due to Epic Games set to grant the skin for free to certain content creators.

The official release date for The Hulk in Fortnite is December 8th, 2022, at 7 PM ET.

Price

One thing data miners don’t leak is the price for skins and The Hulk outfit is no different. However, based on the price of previous Marvel cosmetics, we’d expect the skin to cost 1,500 V-Bucks and the entire bundle to cost 2,600 V-Bucks.

Here’s how you can complete the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 Augment Tutorials quests that are now available to complete.

It’s been over fourteen hours that players had to wait in order to play Fortnite again after the Fracture live event concluded chapter three. However, the servers are back up and players can jump in to experience everything chapter 4 has to offer.

There’s a brand new map, Battle Pass, dirt bikes, a perks system, new weapons, and much more. As expected, there are new quests for players to complete.

It looks like as of writing, the Fortnite week zero quests are not available to complete but we have other quests that are available to be completed.

One of the quest sets players need to complete are the Augment Tutorial quests. There are only three quests that should be fairly straightforward to complete.

However, if you’re struggling to complete them we’ve got a quick guide on how to complete all three quests as fast as possible.

Complete Augment Tutorial in Fortnite

Here are the three quests that need to be completed:

• Prepare for a call on your next Bus Ride.
• Survive until Augments are available.
• Activate an Augment

Prepare for a call on your next Bus Ride Fortnite quest

This is an extremely easy quest to complete. Players don’t need to do anything to complete this challenge apart from getting into a game of Fortnite. Once, you’ve entered the Battle Bus, you’ll have completed the challenge.

Survive until Augments are available

The next challenge is also fairly easy to complete too. Essentially, all you need to do is stay alive. Augments are the perks that were added in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1.

You need to survive for roughly two minutes which is when the first set of augments are available for players. As soon as you see the augments appear on your screen, you’ll have completed the second stage of the Augment tutorial quests.

How to Activate An Augment on Console (PS5 / PS4/ Xbox One / Series X)

The final stage of the Augment Tutorial in Fortnite is to activate an augment. Again, this is very easy to do and when you get your first augment perks, they’ll pop up on the screen as shown below.

In order to complete the challenge, follow the on-screen instructions which will vary based on what platform you’re playing on. If you’re on PC, you would left click to enable the augment you want to select.

It looks like players are having difficulty activating an augment on console. To do it on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S, players will need to do the following steps:

• Head to settings
• Go to the wireless controller settings
• Click on custom
• Find the button that mentions “Augment Select”
• Change it to the appropriate button you’d like to choose.

For me, on PlayStation 5, it was set to the right direction button. For others, it might be a different button as seen in the image below:

Remember, you don’t have to activate the top augment, you can select the option below it if you believe it’ll be more useful to you in your current in-game situation.

Now that Geralt of Rivia has been confirmed as a Fortnite skin, here’s how you’ll be able to unlock it along with a release date.

A couple of months ago, nobody would believe you if you said season four would be the final season of Chapter Three. However, confirmation of the rumor that chapter 4 would be released this year was confirmed over two weeks ago.

Epic Games tweeted a promotional image for the chapter 3 finale fracture live event. The event concluded with the map being destroyed and a new one being formed in the cinematic trailer.

The trailer also teased some of the skins that would be in the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 Battle Pass as well as outfits that would be released later in the item shop including The Hulk.

One of the skins that caught everyone’s attention is the Geralt of Rivia The Witcher outfit. It’s in the Battle Pass this season but players are now wondering how you unlock Geralt of Rivia in Fortnite.

How to Get / Unlock Geralt of Rivia Skin in Fortnite

In order to get the Geralt of Rivia “The Witcher” skin in Fortnite, players will need to wait until the quest’s release in order to get the outfit.

Geralt of Rivia will then be available to get along with a number of other cosmetics that will be available in the set including a back bling, loading screen, note, and more.

Like all the previous not-so-secret Battle Pass skins we’ve seen, players will need to complete fairly simple quests to unlock the skin. However, we won’t know the quests that need to be completed until next year.

Geralt of Rivia “The Witcher” Fortnite Release Date

Unfortunately, players are going to have to wait for some time before they can unlock The Witcher in Fortnite. The release date for Geralt of Rivia is penciled in for February 7th, 2023, along with the rest of the cosmetic rewards.

Its likely players will need to complete three quests to unlock the skin and then further quests to unlock the other cosmetics including the emote, spray, and more.

Perks are available in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1. Here is how to get and use Reality Augments.

Players have been unable to play Fortnite since the Chapter three Fracture finale event. However, Epic Games did task players with finding some of the new features, items, and Battle Pass outfits in the meantime.

Players could find and enter coordinates into the Fortnite chapter 4 site. Now that it’s been 100% completed, players can get themselves a free loading screen.

As of writing, the servers are still down but the new update is available to download. The patch notes for the v23.00 Fortnite update have been released, giving us some insight into what we can expect.

One of the new features in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 is the Reality Augments which are essentially Fortnite’s own perk system. Thanks to the information we have from the patch notes as well as data miners, we have all the information you need on the Fortnite chapter 4 Reality Augment Perks.

What are Reality Augment Perks in Fortnite?

Reality Augments are Fornite’s perk system in chapter 4 season 1. At intervals during a match, players will be given two randomly selected Reality Augments (perks).

The longer a player can remain in a match, the more perks you’ll collect. All of the Reality Augment perks you get will remain until the match ends.

How to Get Them

As outlined above, players can get the Reality Augments at intervals in a match. The longer you remain in a game, the more you’ll get. There isn’t any set location where you can find or collect them.

Players can, however, reroll for another chance to get their favorite Fortnite perk..

All Fortnite Perks List and What They Do

There will be a total of 22 different Fortnite perks (Reality Augments). However, Epic Games have only provided information on what five of them do which you can see below:

One of the 22 Day 1 Reality Augments: Light Fingers. Makes your weapons using Light Ammo reload faster.

One of the 22 Day 1 Reality Augments: Mechanical Archer. Gives you a Mechanical Explosive Blow & Mechanical Shockwave Bow.

One of the 22 Day 1 Reality Augments: Aerialist. Grants you Glider redeploy for the rest of the match.

One of the 22 Day 1 Reality Augments: Supercharged. Your vehicles won’t consume fuel and they’ll have increased Health.

One of the 22 Day 1 Reality Augments: Soaring Sprints. While sprinting, you’ll be able to jump much higher — and jump with lower gravity.

Data miners have leaked the rest of the perks that’ll be available along with what they do. Here’s the full list:

• More Parkour – Your energy regenerates briefly after mantling or hurdling.
• First Assault – The first bullet in the magazine of your assault rifle deals bonus damage.
• Rifle Recycle – Weapons using medium ammo have a chance not to consume ammo.
• Bloodhouse – enemies hit by your marksman rifle or bow shots are marked for a brief duration.
• Jelly Angler – Receive a fishing rod. You can use it to fish anywhere, but you can only fish up Jellyfish.

• Bow Specialist – Bows draw and reload faster, and you regenerate arrows over time.
• Bush Warrior –  You regenerate health and partial shields while inside large foliage.
• Chug Gunner – Receive a Chug Cannon.
• Splash Medic – You have a chance to find Chug Splash in every container you open.
• Demolitions Munitions – Objects you destroy have a chance to drop explosives. Excludes player-build structures.

• Supercharged – Vehicles you’re inside do not consume fuel and have increased health.
• Aerialist – Gain the ability to deploy your glider.
• Light Fingers – weapons using light ammo reload faster.
• Mechanical Archer – Recieve an Explosive and Shockwave Bow.
• Rushing Reload – Spriting will slowly reload your equipped shotgun.

• Tactical Armory – Grant a Rare Tactical AR and Combat Shotgun.
• Party Time – Gain balloons over time.
• Pistol Amp – Pistols have greatly increased magazine size.
• Soaring Sprints – Jump much higher and with lower gravity while sprinting.
• Storm Mark – When the storm changes, ping the area to highlight nearby enemies for a short duration.

A new chapter means a whole host of new Fortnite weapons and items. Here’s a lowdown on all the new items that have been added in the v23.00 Chapter 4 Season 1 patch.

It’s been over twelve hours since chapter 3 concluded with the Fracture live event. Players have been patiently waiting to drop into the new chapter of Fortnite but have been kept somewhat busy finding coordinates to get their hands on a free loading screen.

Epic Games officially announced downtime for Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 at 3 AM ET. The launch trailer for the new chapter and season was released along with the patch notes.

The new patch notes list all of the new weapons and items that have been added in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1. Let’s take a look at everything that’s been added to the game.

Fortnite Chapter 4 New Weapons – Shotguns, SMG, AR, Shockwave Hammer

Ex-Caliber Rifle

The Ex-Caliber Rifle is a powerful, semi-automatic rifle similar to the DMR in some ways. It’ll fire a ballistic blade at enemies that’ll detonate a couple of seconds later.

Thunder Shotgun

Fortnite players always want the best shotgun and we have two new ones in Fortnite chapter 4. First up is the pump-action shotgun that’ll deal high damage and will shoot two rounds at a time.

Maven Auto Shotgun

We have yet another auto shotgun in Fortnite. The Maven Auto Shotgun is an automatic, fast-firing shotgun with moderate damage and range.

Red-Eye Assault Rifle

We have a new automatic assault rifle in the Red-Eye Assault Rifle. It has a custom red dot sight for improved accuracy with a controlled fire rate.

Twin Mag SMG

As you’d expect from the name of this new Fortnite chapter 4 SMG, the Twin Mag SMG has a double-sided magazine for a fast reload. As you’d expect, this SMG is automatic and fast-firing.

Tactical Pistol

Every new chapter and season of Fortnite needs a trusty pistol. The Tactical Pistol is an automatic, powerful sidearm that can deal some serious damage.

Shockwave Hammer

We have a new type of weapon being added to the loot pool in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1. The Shockwave Hammer is a melee weapon that will deal damage to opponents as well as launch them far away.

The Fortnite Shockwave Hammer can also be used to launch you and your teammates in the year. This will definitely make for some highlight reel eliminates.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 New Healing Items and Drones

There are new healing items in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1. Here’s a list of the new items along with information on the new drone.

Slap Berries

The Slap Berries fruit will provide you with health as well as a short boost of unlimited energy regen so you can stay sprinting for longer.

Slap Juice

Slap Juice will grant more health than a Slap Berry as well as a longer temporary energy regen.

Sky Jellies

If you can’t find any healing items, look for Sky Jellies. These jellyfish allow for a bounce effect experience as well as healing some of your health.

Flying Drones

Flying drones will be around certain locations on the map that are dubbed hot spots. Take down the drones to get the loot including high-rarity weapons.

The Fortnite servers are down for scheduled maintenance. Here are the patch notes for today’s v23.00 Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 update released on December 4th, 2022.

It’s been over twelve hours since Fortnite chapter three concluded with the Fracture live event. Players have been unable to play the game with Epic putting up a waiting screen.

However, the Fortnite servers are now down for scheduled maintenance and should be up in a few hours’ time. Just after the event, players could head to the Fortnite chapter 4 website to enter coordinates.

When a correct coordinate was entered, players were shown an outfit, weapon, or another item from the new season. Now that all the objects have been found, players will find a code for a free loading screen which you can read more about here.

With server downtime underway, Epic Games have released the patch notes for today’s v23.00 (3.74) Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 update. Below, you can read and see everything that’s been added or changed to the game.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Update – 3.74 (23.00) Update

As you’d expect from a new chapter and season in Fortnite, a lot has changed. Fortnite Battle Royale is now powered by Unreal Engine 5.1 which includes noticeable upgrades to the previous version of the popular game engine.

Natural landscapes will look highly detailed, lumen reflections provide high-quality ray-traced reflections, which leads to beautiful interior spaces. Shadowing has been improved along with high-quality visuals at a high framerate.

A new chapter means a new map. Chapter three’s finale Fracture live event has formed a new island. Here are some of the locations you’ll find on the map:

Considering this farm is abandoned, what makes it frenetic are the battles that happen here.

If players head to the Shattered Slabs mining facility, they’ll come across Kinetic Ore which will allow them to pull off physics sorcery to strategically attack opponents.

A few months ago, Fortnite leakers revealed that bikes would be coming to Fortnite. Dirt Bikes are now available in Fortnite that’ll allow you to perform tricks and use weapons as you ride.

Reality Augments are a new addition. At intervals in a match, players will be given a choice of two reality augments. The longer you can stick it out in a game, the more reality augments you’ll be able to get your hands on which will last until the end of the match.

If you don’t like the option you’ve received, players can reroll them for a better chance to get a reality augment you like using.

Another new feature is the ability to hurdle forward. If you spring at obstacles in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1, players will now hurdle onto or over them as seen below:

A new season means a new set of weapons. There are a total of seven weapons including two shotguns, a rifle, an assault rifle, an SMG, and a tactical pistol. There’s also a Shockwave Hammer melee weapon that’ll deal damage to an opponent and launch them far away.

The new weapon can also be used to launch yourself and teammates. We’ll be covering all of the new weapons and items in a separate article which we’ll link here.

New weapons are accompanied by new items including slap berries, slap juice, and sky jellies. Flying drones will also be available that will hold high-rarity weapons that can be shot down and used.

With Fortnite chapter 3 now over, players are wondering when the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 start date is.

The Fortnite chapter 3 finale live event, Fracture, conclude almost three hours ago. During the event, players were tasked with different tasks including collecting Zero Point balls.

When the event ended, the cinematic trailer for Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 played which provided some insight into what we could expect in the new season.

The Hulk, The Twitcher, Doom Slayer, and Mr Beast are all featured in the trailer. The skins will either be in the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 Battle Pass, or they’ll be available at some point during the first few weeks of the season.

Players are unable to play the game right now. The servers were down for a short period of time but Epic Games restored the online services within half an hour.

However, when players log into Fortnite, they’ll be greeted with a waiting loading screen that can’t be navigated past. Players will be unable to play the game until the launch of the new chapter and season.

With players’ patience wearing thin already, they’re asking when Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 will start. Here’s all the information we have so far.

When is the Fortnite chapter 4 Start Date Time?

We know Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 will start on December 4th, 2022. However, there has been no tweet from the official Fortnite status Twitter account announcing downtime.

We’d expect the Fortnite Status Twitter account to tweet that the servers will go down for maintenance within the next few hours.

In terms of a time when Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 will start, we can go off previous seasons as well as a hint on the official Epic Games YouTube channel.

The Fortnite game YouTube channel has a premier for the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 launch trailer on December 4th, 2022, at 3 AM ET / 8 AM GMT/UTC.

We’ve seen the launch trailer scheduled to release at that time for previous seasons too. However, the season doesn’t usually officially begin until at least a couple of hours after.

Based on that, we’re expecting the start time for the new chapter to be around 6 AM ET / 11 AM GMT. However, we’ll update this to keep you in the loop if Epic released an official start time.

Here’s a look at all of the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 Battle Pass skins that have been leaked so far.

It’s been a couple of hours since the Fortnite Fracture live event capped off chapter three. During the event, players were tasked with finding zero point balls by wandering around broken parts of the maps or by completing objects.

It wasn’t the most eventful or entertaining live event we’ve had, but it was something different at least. The event would have been better if it lasted half the time with a total run time of just over forty minutes.

The Fortnite servers were down temporarily likely due to the sheer amount of players looking to see whether the new chapter has started yet.

We’ve mentioned when we’d expect Fortnite to be playable again but in the meantime, you can always try out the mini-game that Epic Games have put up on the chapter four website.

In the “A New Beginning” trailer that played after the Fracture live event concluded, players were able to get a glimpse of some of the skins we’ll be getting in Fortnite chapter 4 season 1.

Some of them were leaked a few hours before the event took place including The Hulk, Geralt from The Witcher, and Doom Slayer. However, the trailer also features Mr Beast who will likely be purchasable from the item shop at some point during the new season.

Epic Games have put up the premiere of the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 launch trailer on their YouTube channel that showcases some of the Battle Pass skins.

Here’s a look at the skins that we know have been confirmed to be in the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 Battle Pass.

In the featured image for the Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 launch trailer, we can see a number of skins. These are almost definitely going to be in the Battle Pass.

We can see Geralt from The Witcher who was also featured in the “A New Beginning” trailer that was played after the event. Doom Slayer is another confirmed Battle Pass skin.

Geno, who has been mentioned in the Fortnite storyline for a couple of seasons now is the main feature of the launch trailer image. We can also see the back of two skins, one of which has been confirmed as one of the recent survey skins as shown below:

If you’ve been putting coordinates into the Fortnite chapter 4 site, you will have unlocked one of the other Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 Battle Pass skins.
