Here is how and where to complete the Fortnite challenge to knock down a Timber Pine and dislodge a Runaway Boulder in a single match.

A new season has launched in Fortnite Battle Royale and of course, new challenges have now been made available for players to complete. There are different types of challenges you can complete, which are the Kickstart, Daily, Weekly and Milestones challenges, with the Paradise challenges set to release in a couple of days.

Completing these challenges is a quick and easy way to level up as you will earn 20,000XP upon completion. Some of these challenges are self-explanatory and easy to complete whereas others you may be need help on. This article will show you how and where to complete the Fortnite week 1 challenge, “knock down a Timber Pine and dislodge a Runaway Boulder in a single match”.

Fortnite – How and where to knock down a Timber Pine and dislodge a Runaway Boulder in a single match

In order to complete this challenge, you will need to know the location of a runaway boulder and timber pine. The best place to go to complete this challenge is northwest of Reality Tree and southwest of Rave Cave. We have marked the location of the boulder and timber pine in the image below.

For most challenges, you would need to interact with the item by clicking on a button, but with this challenge, you need to hit the item itself to complete the challenge.

You can either go to the boulder first or the timber pine but you do need to go to both in one match in order to complete the challenge. Here is what the boulder will look like in-game:

All you need to do it hit it a few times in order to dislodge it, and then you will have completed part of the challenge and will be notified of such on the left side of the screen.

Then travel to the timber pine, marked on the map above, to complete the second and final part of the challenge. Here is what the timber pine looks like in-game:

Again, all you need to do is to hit the tree a few times, which will make the top part of the tree fall down and you will have completed the challenge. Completing this challenge awards you with 20,000XP.

For both the boulder and the timber pine, you can hit them in order to cause more damage to any object in their path!
