Epic Games is releasing a new Fortnite update today, v30.00 (1.000.138). Here’s everything you need to know including early patch notes, server downtime information, and what to expect from the new patch.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is almost over with the season being one of the shortest Epic has released in Chapter five.
Thankfully, it looks like we can expect a lot of new content including map changes, and new items being added to the loot pool.
We already knew we’d be getting a Fall Out collaboration in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, and it looks like it’ll include cosmetics as well as a POI on the map.
A Fall Guys collaboration will also be coming in season 3 with data miners confirming the latest crossover a few days ago.

Fortnite Servers Scheduled Downtime Today 24 May 2024 – Are the Servers Down Right Now?
As with any Fortnite patch update, Epic Games will need to take the Fortnite servers down in order to prepare them for today’s v30.00 (4.26 / 1.000.138) update.
Epic Games announced that the Fortnite servers will go down for scheduled maintenance on 24th May 2024 at 2 AM ET / 7 AM BST / 8 AM CEST with matchmaking being disabled a few minutes prior.
They also stated that the patch sizes will be larger than usual new season updates.

Epic never releases any information regarding when the Fortnite servers will be back online. However, we’d expect the servers to be back online at roughly 6 AM ET / 11 AM BST / 12 PM CEST.

Battle Pass
As with any new Fortnite season, we’ll be getting new Battle Pass cosmetics with the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked.
The key art for the new season shows off some of the skin which we’ve added below.
We’ll update this section when all of the skins in the Battle Pass for season 3 are revealed.
Map Changes
The Shark POI will be returning to Fortnite with a different look in season 3. The Shark was a location on the chapter 2 season 2 map, and thanks to one of the teases released, we know it’ll be returning with a more apocalyptic look.
Nitro Drome is a new POI with the description “Rule the chaos. Run the destruction. Enter at your own risk”. It’ll be replacing Fencing Fields.
We know that Mount Olympus, Restored Reels, and The Underworld will definitely be staying in Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked.
