Epic Games has released a blog post announcing the Fortnite Winterfest 2022 event. Here’s everything you need to know including returning items, free skins, and more.
As soon as Fortnite chapter four season one was released, everyone’s focus was on the Fortnite Christmas event and when it’ll release this year.
There were numerous leaks from the 23.00 update which included information on the upcoming Fortnite Winterfest for 2022.
We already knew the Fortnite Winterfest Cabin would be returning for the 2022 event as well as presents and items that always return for the Christmas event.
However, we now have confirmation of the start date along with other information regarding the event including what items will return, some of the new skins that’ll be available to purchase, and more.
Winterfest Fortnite 2022 Event Start Date
Fortnite Winterfest begins a little earlier than usual this year. Winterfest 2022 begins today, December 13th, 2022, at 9 AM ET and will end on January 3rd, 2022, at 9 AM ET.
How to Get Artic Adeline and Sled Ready Guff Fortnite Skins
Presents have returned again this year. There are 14 presents in total with a total of 17 cosmetic rewards available for free.
Here’s the list of all the cosmetics that are available:
- Two Outfits
- Two Gliders
- Two Wraps
- Three Lobby Tracks
- Three Sprays
- A Back Bling
- Pickaxe
- Contrail
- Emote
- Emoticon

Unvaulted Items
Both Holiday Presents and Snowball Launchers have made a return along with Sgt. Winter who will be patrolling the map on his big rig truck.
Free Curling Iron Fortnite Emote
Players that play with five different friends from their friend list in any game mode during Fortnite Winterfest 2022 will receive the Curling Iron Emote.
The Curling Iron Emote will be granted beginning on or around January 6th, 2023.
