Fortnite February Crew Pack: Vi Fortnite Skin and other cosmetics decrypted

Data-miners have leaked the decrypted images of the Fortnite February Crew subscription pack that includes the Vi Fortnite skin.

It’s been two months since Epic Games revealed the Fortnite crew monthly subscription. We’ve already had two crew packs release. The first pack included the Galaxia Fortnite skin and the January crew pack included DC’s Arrow skin along with matching cosmetics.

Players have also had the chance to get another emote for free if you’re signed up to the Fortnite crew subscription. Due to the amount of issues Epic Games have faced with players receiving their V-Bucks, those subscribed can get themselves the Members Only emote. In order to get it, players simply need to login before February 15th, 2021.

A few days ago, Epic teased what the next skin in the crew pack with a series of tweets and a new profile pictures on the official Fortnite social media accounts. However, the tweets were deleted and the social media profile picture was changed back.

A day later, they released a blog post announced the new Fortnite crew skin that’ll be in the February crew pack, Vi.

Vi Fortnite Skin

Vi is the latest Fortnite skin and is The Fox Clan’s last hope. The Vi Fortnite skin comes with the Foxbow Quiver Back Bling, the Crooked Claw Pickaxe, and the Drift Shift Wrap. This month, players will also get a loading screen with the purchase of the February Fortnite crew subscription.

The new crew pack is expected to go live today, January 31st, at roughly 7 PM ET. However, all of the cosmetics including the Vi Fortnite skin have been decrypted and leaked by pretty much every data-miner. Here’s a look at all the cosmetics you’ll get in the Fortnite February crew pack.

When is Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 2 Coming out (Release Date)

Here’s when Fortnite chapter 2 season 6 is expected to start.

We’re more than halfway into Fortnite chapter 2 season 5 and players are already asking when Fortnite season 6 chapter 2 will begin. There’s currently at least seven more weeks of the current season according to the current end date for season 5, so players have some time to wait for the new season is upon us.

In my opinion, Fortnite chapter 2 seasons are simply far too long to keep the player base interested. The first season of Fortnite chapter 2 was a mind boggling 128 days, making it the longest season of Fortnite we’ve ever had.

Fortnite season 5
Fortnite season 5

Fortnite chapter 2 season 2 was the second longest season with a total of 118 days, but the following season was just 70 days. Season 4 was 96 days, making it the third longest season this chapter. This season of Fortnite, chapter 2 season 5, launched on December 2nd.

If Epic Games keep their schedule for the season, season 5 will end on March 15th, 2021. That means this season will be 103 days long, putting it in third for the longest seasons. In my opinion, the season lengths in chapter 1 were far better and better update schedule kept players interested in the game.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Start Date

If there are no delays this season, Fortnite season 6 in chapter 2 will start on March 15th, 2021. In Fortnite, a season usually starts and ends on the same day. The previous season usually ends an hour before scheduled server maintenance downtime for the new season.

However, there’s a chance we could get an event a day before or on the day that chapter 2 season 5 ends. If that’s the case, there’s a chance we get much longer downtime like what we saw in the launch of chapter 2 and with the downtime before the launch of season 5.

Either way, we still have roughly seven weeks before the launch of Fortnite season 6 chapter 2. This season started off with promise, but the last couple of updates have been average at best. It seems like this season is a simple way for Epic to make more money with their hunter skins coming in from different games.

Let us know what you think of the current season in the comments section below.

G.I Joe Fortnite Skins Teaser – Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander Possible Skins

Epic Games have released a teaser for the next Fortnite hunter skin.

Since the launch of Fortnite season 5, we’ve seen a number of collaboration skins make their way into the world of Fortnite. The first skin that was released near the start of the season took everyone by surprise.

A Twitter user posted that he saw an ad on the PlayStation store mentioning Kratos will be coming to the Fortnite world. PlayStation then released a teaser on their Twitter account that all but confirmed Kratos would be coming to Fortnite.

Fast forward two months and we’ve now had Master Chief, Michonne, Daryl Dixon, and most recently, T-800 Terminator and Sarah Connor. The worldwide creative director at Epic Games, Donald Mustard, changed his Twitter location yesterday from the Bridge to Arashikage Clan.

G.I Joe X Fortnite – Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow

The Arashikage Clan is a ninja based clan in Japan with members from all over the world. The two most famous members of the clan are Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes. Donald also posted an image of his reading a G.I Joe comic book as seen below:

Epic Games have now released another teaser voice recording from Agent Jonesy that teases the release of the G.I Joe Fortnite skins. Here’s the transcript from the reality log:

“Sorry bearings a little shot because…wow…it is just none stop laser guns and explosions here. So, this target is gonna be perfect, ermm…him and his buddies are all the real deal and they have the best code names. Whoever’s unlucky enough to be in his cross hairs will never hear him coming, but if they could, they would know he means business and knowing is half the battle”.

Knowing is half the battle is a G.I Joe reference and the “never hear him coming” is likely a reference to Snake Eyes from G.I Joe due to him being a ninja. The fact that the reality log also mentions “him and his buddies” likely means we’ll get Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Scarlet. However, we’ll need to wait and see who exactly makes it into the Fortnite world from G.I Joe.

New Fortnite Item Shop Gangnam Style Emote Leaked

A Gangnam Fortnite emote is coming to the item shop soon… Oppan Gangnam Style!

Epic Games have collaborated with a number of artists, streamers, and companies to bring exclusive Fortnite skins to the game. We’ve had Marvel and DC skins and we’ve seen a number of TikTok dances make their way into the world of Fortnite as an emote.

We’ve also had other emotes make their way into the game, but have resulted in Epic Games facing lawsuits. The “Phone It In”, the “Running Man” and just two of the emotes that have been contested in court.

However, Epic Games have won the lawsuits brought forward and still releasing new, trendy Fortnite emotes. However, some of their cosmetics have been released long after a trend has ended including for today’s new Fortnite emote, Gangnam Style.

Gangnam Style Fortnite Emote

Around an hour ago, the Fortnite Korea Twitter page posted a clip of Fortnite characters doing the Gangnam style emote on top of the largest building at Salty Towers. There was no information regarding whether this would be only for players in Korea or for everyone.

Thirty minutes later, data-miners posted that the Gangnam Style Fortnite emote was had been decrypted and posted the featured image which we’ve included below.

There’s no information as to when the Fortnite Gangnam Style emote will be available to purchase, but due to the fact the emote has been decrypted just under two hours before the Fortnite Item Shop resets, we’re going to take a stab in the dark and say it’ll be available to purchase in the item shop for the 28th / 29th January 2021.

As with all leaks, there’s no information regarding how much the emote will cost, but we’d assume it would be either 500 or 800 V-Bucks. Let us know in the comments section if you’ll be purchasing the Gangnam style emote.

Pay-to-Win Superhero Skins in Fortnite Color Combination Changes Coming Soon, Free Refund

Epic Games have announced some changes coming to the Fortnite Superhero skins in the next update.

The Boundless set in Fortnite contains a number of superhero cosmetics that are highly customizable. They were first released on September 11th, 2020 and last seen on December 7th.

The price of the Fortnite superhero skins are 1,800 V-Bucks and players can change the pattern, head style, face covering, belt style, suit styles, primary material for the skin, and primary and secondary colors. It’s by far the most customizable Fortnite skins currently available.

In the next Fortnite update, Epic Games will be making some minor adjustments to the Fortnite superhero skins due to an issue with the skins being considered pay-to-win. The issue was first identified a few weeks back when players took to Reddit to complain about the superhero skins.

With the customizable options for the skins allowing players to use a black/black and white/white color combination as their primary and secondary colors, players began realizing it provided them with an advantage.

With the black/black combination, players can sit in the corner of a dark room and it would be very hard to opponents to spot you. Here’s an example of how difficult it is to spot a player using the above color combination:

The next Fortnite update is v15.30 and it’s currently on the staging servers being tested. It should release sometime next week, likely on Wednesday if Epic’s season 5 update schedule is anything to go by.

In the update, Epic Games will address the above pay-to-win issue with the superhero skins in Fortnite. In a statement from Epic Games, they stated it’s been brought to their attention that the skins in the Boundless set are comprising the competitive integrity of matches.

They mentioned they’re planning to make “minor cosmetic adjustments” along with adjustments to the material and players no longer being able to have a white/white or black/black primary and secondary color combinations.

Players are entitled to a free refund for the Fortnite superhero skins within thirty days of your first login after the v15.30 Fortnite update is released. This will not cause players to lose a refund token. The statement ended with Epic stated that they’ve made some tweaks to interior lighting in the game to compliment these upcoming skin changes.

Here are the locations for all the Fortnite season 5 week 9 xp coins including green, blue, purple and gold.

Since the launch of Fortnite chapter 2, Epic Games have added in XP coins around the map with new coins added each week. However, at the start of season 5, there were no new XP coins. We haven’t had any XP coins until week 7 of Fortnite season 5.

We did know from leaks that Fortnite xp coins will eventually be added in season 5. After the v15.20 update, coins were added back, but the week 7 coins were available on Wednesday. Last week however, the week 8 XP coins were added on Thursday and will continue to be added on Thursdays moving forward.

Fortnite XP Coins locations season 4

If leaks are correct, we’ll see Fortnite season 5 xp coins added up until week 16 of Fortnite season 5. Along with the Fortnite XP coins for season 5 week 9, we obviously have the epic challenges/quests to complete too. This week, players are tasked with challenges like find the crashed plane’s black box, emote at stone statues, find a hidden bunker, and more.

Once you’ve done those (or before), you can look for the Fortnite season 5 week 9 xp coins around the map, or you can check out the map we have below to help you find and grab the week 9 XP coins as quickly as possible.

All Fortnite Week 9 XP Coin Locations

As usual, there are four green, three blue, two purple, and one gold coin for you to collect. Here’s a breakdown of how much XP each coin provides:

  • Green: 5,000 XP
  • Blue: 6,500 XP
  • Purple: 10,300 XP
  • Gold: 15,000 XP

Fortnite Black Box Location: Find the Crashed Plane’s Black Box

Here’s the location of the crashed plane in Fortnite and where to find the black box for the week 9 challenge.

A new week in Fortnite means a new week of weekly challenges along with new XP coins to find around the season five map. As usual, this weeks challenges for week 9 will be of Epic rarity whilst there’ll be one legendary challenge.

There’s a few quests/challenges this week that may require you to use a guide. There’s some generic challenges that’ll require you to damage players whilst you’re in the water, shake down IO Guards, and ride the Steamy Stacks.

Fortnite IO Guard

However, there are some interesting challenges this week which will likely tie into the story line for season five somehow. One of the challenges requires players to find the crashed plane’s black box.

Here’s the location of the crashed plane in Fortnite and where you can find the plane’s black box.

Find the Crashed Plane’s Black Box Fortnite

In order to complete this challenge, you’ll first need to know where the crashed plane is on the Fortnite season five map.

Where is the Crashed Plane in Fortnite?

You’ll find the crashed plane in Fortnite on the north-west side of the map. It’s right next to Coral Castle. The plane has been on the map since the start of chapter , but it’s in a location that most players tend not to visit.

Here’s the exact map location where you’ll find the plane:

Crashed Plane Fortnite Location

Where is the Black Box in Fortnite?

When you land at the plane, you’ll notice the plane is split into three different parts. You can find the crashed plane’s black box next to the middle part of the plane. There’s an actual black metal box partially buried into the ground, the black box will be close to that.

A black box is a flight recorder that will record and store data about a plane providing vital information in the case of air accident investigations. Despite it’s name, they’re actually bright orange. However, the crashed plane’s black box in Fortnite is black in the middle and dark orange on the sides.

Here’s the location of the black box and what it looks like in Fortnite:
