Old Fortnite Map: Will the Fortnite OG Old Map Return / Come Back

Let’s take a look at the chances of the old Fortnite map making a return and why some believe it will come back.

The Fortnite Galactus live event is just over 24 hours away and Epic have been putting our several teasers in the run up to the largest Fortnite event we’ve had so far. We’ve had Epic post about the upgraded Battle Bus, jet packs, and an image of Galactus closing in on the map.

As soon as the Galactus event was officially announced on the Epic Games website, players were quick to come up with their predictions for what would happen during the event and the effect it’ll have moving forward into season 5.

Players have wanted the old map to make a return a few weeks into the second chapter. However, with more than a year on the chapter 2 map, it seems a large majority of the player base want the old map back and they’ve come up with some theories on why they think it’ll return.

Old Fortnite Map
Old Fortnite Map

Let’s run through the possibility of the old Fortnite map making a return after the Galactus live event concludes.

88 MPH Whiplash Challenge

One of the awakening challenges for Tony Stark in Fortnite requires players to reach 88 mph on the speedometer in a Whiplash. Based on this challenge, players believe it’s Epic hinting that we’ll be going back in time to the old map based on the movie Back to the Future.

In the movie, DeLorean needs to must go 88 mph in order to time travel. Personally, I can’t see this as solid reasoning as to why this would point towards the old Fortnite map returning.

Event Downtime

Several well known data-miners have stated that there’ll be downtime after the Galactus event similar to the black hole. Based on that, players believe Epic have included this downtime to raise anticipation for the new season and bring back the old map. Again, I don’t really see this as a reason why the chapter 1 map will return.

Donald Mustard Interview

In an interview, the worldwide creative director at Epic Games, Donald Mustard, stated that the chapter 2 island is the chapter 1 island. The chapter 2 island is “the matter” changing and reorganizing everything on the map.

I’m not quite sure what to make of this. Perhaps it means we could still get the old Fortnite map back if Galactus takes the zero point, or perhaps we’ll have the chapter 1 and chapter 2 map combine.

Either way, I don’t believe the original Fortnite map will be making a return as it was in chapter 1. If it were to come back, I’d assume Epic will have managed to merge both the chapter 1 and chapter 2 map together.

What are your thoughts on the possible return of the old map. Let us know in the comments section below.

There were no other discounts on Black Friday for Fortnite with many players hoping Epic would have a sale on the price of V-Bucks. However, Epic have added in a Cyber Monday deal on a pack they’ve brought back for the deal.

Frozen Legends Pack Cyber Monday Fortnite Deal

The deal for Cyber Monday is the return of the Frozen Legends pack for a discounted rate. The pack was first released in December 2018 and was most recently available in January 2020.

The price of the Frozen Legends pack is $24.99/£19.99 normally, however, for the Cyber Monday deal, Epic Games have reduced the price to £10.99. It does seem like the price is slightly different on platforms. On PC it appears to be £10.99 whilst it’s £11.99 on PlayStation with Xbox players stating it’s £12.99 for them.

Fortnite XP Coins: All Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 XP Coins Locations

Here are all the Fortnite chapter 2 season 4 XP Coins locations including green, blue, purple and gold coins.

Fortnite season 4 is almost over. Season 5 begins on Wednesday, December 2nd a day after the Galactus live event concludes. There’s still time for players to complete their challenges and collect all the XP coins around the map.

However, with the Galactus event taking place on Tuesday, December 1st at 4 PM ET, there likely won’t be any time to complete challenges and collect XP coins after that. That’s based on a leak that suggests we’ll get downtime after the event until the new season similar to what we saw with the black hole event at the end of chapter 1.

Fortnite Black Hole Screen
Fortnite Black Hole Screen

If that’s the case, you have just over two days to complete any of your remaining challenges along with collecting any XP coins you’re yet to collect.

If you need help on any of your Fortnite season 4 challenges, be sure to head back to the home page and use the search bar to search for any challenges you need help completing including the XP Xtravaganza challenges.

Below, we’ve included all the locations for the Fortnite season 4 XP coins to help you level up and try unlock those foil skin style for the battle pass skins.

Fortnite Season 4 XP Coins

You’ll find the map of all the Fortnite season 4 xp coins locations below. For those that don’t usually get the xp coins, or haven’t collected them in a while, here’s some tips on collecting them.

Green XP Coins – These are standard, just walk through them to get the XP from the coin.

Blue XP Coins – You can only get the blue coins by destroying certain objects. You’ll hear the coin noise when you’re close to a coin and you’ll see a glow from an object. Destroy the object for the coin to appear.

Purple XP Coins – Purple coins can be tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing. As soon as you walk into them, they’ll break off into smaller coins and you’ll have to collect them before they disappear. To ensure you get all the smaller xp coins every time, build around the coin and then walk through it.

Gold XP Coins – These are pretty standard too and you’ll usually find them at Marvel-themed locations.

Here’s all the xp coins, but to make it easier, it’s been split by the different colored coins thanks to The Brite News:

Fortnite Season 5: When is the new Fortnite season coming out & leaks

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite chapter 2 season 5 including when the new Fortnite season is coming out and some small leaks.

The Fortnite Galactus event takes place on Tuesday, December 1st at 4 PM ET and the new season of Fortnite will follow. Epic Games are sending out emails to players reminding them of the time the event takes place.

We know due to the file size that this will be the largest Fortnite event that Epic have ever put on, but the run time will be similar to events we’ve seen in the past at around nine minutes.

Fortnite Live Event Galactus

Judging from the teaser images that Epic Games have been putting out on social media, players will have their own jet pack, they might be able to drive the battle bus, and there’ll be a bunch of lasers during the event.

Based on what data-miners have put out, it also looks like once the event is over, season 4 will also be over as there’s a high chance we’ll get downtime once the event ends and will last until the new Fortnite season launches.

When is the new Fortnite season?

The new Fortnite season, Fortnite chapter 2 season 5 launched on Wednesday, December 2nd. The original start date for season 5 was November 30th, the date which was seen on the official Epic Games website on the Battle Pass section.

However, as soon as the date for the event was announced for December 1st, it was obviously season 4 wouldn’t end at the end of November. With the announcement of the Fortnite Crews monthly subscription, Epic confirmed the date of Fortnite season 5 by stating the subscription will be available on December 2nd with the launch of the new Fortnite season.

If you haven’t seen some of the other leaks or information on the monthly subscription, check out the links below:

Fortnite Event: Galactus Fortnite Skin Leaked Ahead of Live Event

A Galactus Fortnite skin has been leaked by data-miners ahead of the Fortnite live event.

We’re only three days away from the biggest Fortnite event and Epic Games have been releasing teaser images to get the hype train going. Epic first put out a post on social media teasing jet packs being used in the game with the “don’t forget your jet pack” fight tip.

Another teaser was posted with the Galactus Nexus War image used for the official announcement of the Fortnite Galactus event with the caption “he hungers for the Zero Point. Galactus is closing in”.

The latest teaser for the Fortnite Galactus event is an image of the upgraded Battle Bus which has been upgraded slowly throughout season 4 after every major patch update. The caption for the post and image can be seen below.

“You do know how to drive the Battle Bus.. right?”.

The Fortnite Galactus live event takes place on Tuesday, December 1st at 4 PM ET. We don’t know what will happen as data-miners that managed to get the key to decrypt the event files aren’t spoiling the event for anyone.

However, do know there’ll be downtime similar to the black hole event to end Fortnite chapter 1. Leaks also mention that the event will be just under nine minutes long, but again, there’s no information on what will happen during the event.

Fortnite Black Hole
Fortnite Black Hole

Before any Fortnite event, Epic Games tend to update the item shop a day prior to the event taking place. We’re not sure if the item shop will update before the Galactus event, but there’s a chance we could see a Galactus Fortnite skin become available to purchase.

Fortnite Galactus Skin Leaked

In the v14.20 Fortnite update, data-miners leaked that Epic Games added strings to the files which suggested a Galactus Fortnite skin would be coming as a bundle was added. Since then, it’s been quite on any information regarding the skin, but a Galactus skin was recently leaked.

Thanks to leaker Ximton, we know what a Galactus skin will look like:

Galactus Fortnite Skin
Galactus Fortnite Skin

As mentioned, there’s strings for a Galactus bundle so if the skin were to be available for purchase, there’ll be other cosmetics too including a back bling, pickaxe, and glider.

As with all leaks, there’s no guarantee this skin will be available. However, due to the fact there’s been a bundle for Galactus in the files for some time, I’d assume there’s a high chance this becomes available to purchase.

However, it’s likely it won’t be available until after the Fortnite Galactus live event takes place on December 1st. Either way, this looks like a solid skin and I’m sure players will be eager to purchase this when or if it’s available.

Be sure to check out the season 5 battle pass leaked skins, information on Fortnite crew, and more over on the Fortnite Insider home page.

Fortnite Black Friday Deals – V-Bucks Black Friday Darkfire Bundle Deal

Epic Games have participated in the Black Friday deals for Fortnite.

It’s the day where everyone is trying to get the best deals on the items they’ve had their eye on for most of the year. Epic Games have participated in Black Friday for the second time, offering games available on the Epic Games store for discounted prices.

However, we haven’t really seen any Fortnite Black Friday deals. There were leaks from the v11.20 Fortnite update which included strings for Black Friday deals, however, I don’t remember there being any major deals of note for Black Friday on Fortnite.

Fortnite Black Friday
Fortnite Black Friday

This year, Epic Games have decided to offer a Fortnite Black Friday deal, but it’s just the one deal for a bundle that was released some time ago. Either way, it’s a pretty good deal if you were after this particular bundle.

Darkfire Bundle Black Friday Discount

The Fortnite Darkfire bundle includes 3 legendary skins, 2 legendary back blings, 3 rare dual-wielding pickaxe, 3 epic wraps, and one emote. It was first released in October 2019 for £24.99/$29.99 (USD).

For Black Friday, Epic Games have decided to offer the Darkfire Fortnite bundle for just £10.99. They’ve listed it as a Black Friday deal and you can purchase it by going to the Fortnite Item Shop and scrolling all the way down.

You’ll find the Darkfire Bundle at the bottom under “limited time” on the right of the Street Serpent Pack.

Black Friday Fortnite Deal

There’s no other Black Friday deals for Fortnite unfortunately, but at least there’s one good deal players can take advantage of.

How to get cheaper V-Bucks on Black Friday

Players can take advantage of sites like CD Keys in order to get themselves cheaper V-Bucks than what Epic Games are offering on Fortnite. There aren’t any Black Friday deals for Fortnite V-Bucks, but you can use these deals to bag a bargain.

*Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission.

For EU players, you can get the Neo Versa skin and 2,000 V-Bucks on PS4 for £12.99 by clicking here*. EU PS4 players can also bag the Last Laugh bundle for £17.99. US players can get 2,000 V-Bucks for £12.99.

You can also shop around for PlayStation Network cards on discount CD Keys and Xbox cards to get the value of the card lower than the actual value which you can then use to spend on V-Bucks.

Whilst you’re here, feel free to browse our home page for the latest Fortnite news including jet packs being confirmed for the live event, three Fortnite season 5 battle pass skins being leaked including Mandalorian and a Baby Yoda back bling, and the upcoming Fortnite Crew monthly subscription.

Be sure to turn on website notifications or bookmark our page for the build up to the Galactus Fortnite event and the launch of the new season!

Fortnite Galactus Event: Jet packs confirmed for live event

Epic Games have teased jet packs will be in the Galactus Fortnite live event.

The Galactus Fortnite event is 5 days away with the live event taking place on Tuesday, December 1st at 4 PM ET. We’ve seen a couple of teasers posted on the official Fortnite social media account including inside the upgraded battle bus.

The Battle Bus has slowly been upgraded since the start of the season. After the v14.60 Fortnite update last week, the Battle Bus was fully upgraded and ready to help battle Galactus. Here’s a look at the inside of the battle bus.

A couple of data-miners managed to get their hands on the AES key after the v14.60 update which allowed them to decrypt the Fortnite Galactus event files and see what would take place in the live event.

However, they opted not to put the key to use and Epic have since changed the key, so no other data-miners will be able to access the event files. However, there have been a few leaks since the v14.50 update.

Fortnite Black Hole
Fortnite Black Hole

One of the leaks suggests that there will be downtime similar to the black hole whereby players won’t be able to play the game after the event. However, the downtime after the live event won’t be anywhere near as long as the black hole with Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 launching a day later.

One of the other leaks was that everyone lucky enough to get into a lobby and witness the Galactus live event will get their own jet pack. Epic have confirmed this in a social media post with a fighting Galactus tip. The tip is “don’t forget your jet pack”. This is the image that accompanied the tip.

The Stark Industries jet pack was added to the game a couple of updates ago. The last time jet packs were in Fortnite was back in chapter 1.

For those that missed out previous article, the file size for the Galactus Fortnite event is much larger than all the previous Fortnite live events. We’re looking at a file size more than eight times larger than the Travis Scott event.

Leaks suggest the event will last around nine minutes, but it looks like this will be the most action packed Fortnite event we’ve ever seen. Remember, Epic Games put out a blog post for the Galactus Fortnite event urging users to log in to Fortnite sixty minutes before the event takes place.

The Devourer of Worlds Nexus War event playlist will be available thirty minutes before the scheduled event time. Be sure to log in as early as possible to avoid any disappointment. We can guarantee this will be worth the wait!

Fortnite Boogie Before Oblivion – How to Complete the Boogie Challenge

Here is how to complete the boogie before oblivion Week 14 Fortnite Battle Royale Challenge for Week 4 of the XP Xtravaganza Challenges.

There are new challenges being released every week in Fortnite Battle Royale and we are now in Week 14 of Chapter 2, Season 4. The past few weeks, Epic have been releasing XP Xtravaganza challenges instead of the normal challenges to help players to get as much XP as possible to level up in this seasons Battle Pass.

One of the challenges for the Week 4 XP Xtravaganza Challenges is to ‘boogie before oblivion’. This can be a confusing challenge to complete if you do not know what to do, but this article will show you exactly how to complete it.

Fortnite Challenge Boogie Before Oblivion

Oblivion means “the act or process of dying out; complete annihilation or extinction.” So in order to complete this challenge, you will need to be eliminated. There are a couple of ways in which you can complete this challenge and you will need a Boogie Bomb to complete it.

Fortnite Battle Royale Boogie Bomb

Boogie Bombs can be found pretty much anywhere, i.e in chests, floor loot, vaults, care packages, so it should be quite easy to find.

Once you have a Boogie Bomb, you will need to build a ramp high enough that once you fall off it, you will die by fall damage. Before falling to your death, you will need to use the Boogie Bomb on yourself so you are dancing and then simply walk off the ramp whilst dancing to complete the challenge.

Another way to complete the challenge will be to use a Boogie Bomb before being eliminated by an opponent. Either way will complete the challenge and you will only need to do it once to be granted the XP.

UPDATE: It appears as though you only need to dance once you land from the Battle Bus to complete the challenge, so it’s extremely easy to complete!

The season is drawing to an end so make sure you complete all of your challenges to claim all the rewards from the Battle Pass as they won’t be available after.

Fortnite Native Locations: Where and how to Harvest Buses and RVs in native Fortnite locations

Here’s what the native Fortnite locations are on the Fortnite chapter 2 season 4 map.

It’s your final chance to get a bundle of XP in Fortnite chapter 2 season 4 with the final set of challenges releasing for the season. This is the week 14 challenges, also known as XP Xtravaganza week 4 challenges and similar to the previous 3 weeks of Xtravaganza challenges, players have to complete a number of staged challenges.

One of the challenges for week 14 that aren’t a staged challenge is harvest buses and RVs in native Fortnite locations. It seems Epic have attempted to add in some challenges this week that somewhat relate to the live event that’ll take place next week.

v14.60 Fortnite Patch Notes Update

The Fortnite battle bus has been upgraded throughout the season with the final change coming after the v14.60 Fortnite update. Epic even teased the inside of the battle bus in a tweet promoting the Galactus live event.

For those of you that don’t know what native Fortnite locations are, we’ve got you covered with a quick guide.

Fortnite Native Locations – Harvest Buses and RVs

Native locations in Fortnite are locations that have been on the map since the first chapter. That means that these are the current Fortnite native locations on the chapter 2 season 4 map:

  • Salty Springs
  • Retail Row
  • Risky Reels

There’s a slim chance that Doom’s Domain will work. It’s still pretty much what Pleasant Park was in chapter 1 with some changes to the popular location here and there.

There’s only one bus as far as I’m aware Retail Row and here’s where you can find it:

bus locations Fortnite
bus locations Fortnite

There aren’t any bus or RV locations in Salty Springs as far as I remember, so there isn’t much point in using that location. Risky Reels isn’t a named location, but is still a native Fortnite location, so the location should work.

If that’s the case, it’s easily the best option to complete this challenge as the whole location is full of RVs and busses. Here’s the location of Risky Reels on the Fortnite chapter 2 season 4 map:

That’s all for this challenge, have fun!
